Best way to remove wax residue?

So the previous owner was a little messy with the wax so I have white wax residue on a lot of the black trim pieces around the windows. Anyone have any tips on how to easily get this off? I'm tempted to take a paint brush and some trim paint to it.

Painting over wax will result in the paint coming off as the wax comes off.

You could do a 50/50 mix of IPA and water on a cloth and apply some elbow grease to the over waxed parts and then thoroughly wash the truck when finished. You could also get a DA buffer and a water only damp pad to remove the wax. Or you could just wait it out as the summer time will soften that wax right up and you could wash it off over time.

Isopropyl alcohol. Though a little beer might make the job a little more fun.

I haven't tried it myself, but have heard a few folks say that a Magic Eraser does a great job of taking wax off of plastic trim. I wouldn't get crazy with it, maybe just try lightly going over it, and be careful not to touch your paint with it.

Dude .... Go on YouTube and type "how to wax car" and watch a few videos.

YouTube is awesome and you will learn quickly. One of the steps is removing the wax.

Alternatively you could rent and watch "The Karate Kid"

Hahaha. Oh, I remember the karate kid quite well. The problem was someone already "wax on" and I'm trying to get old "wax off". Thanks for the tips guys.
