Better AM Antenna Reception?

Hello,

I've searched and searched but I can't find any discussion on getting better AM antenna reception.

Is there any antenna (or add-on) that gives better AM reception? I've read the discussions on using the whip antenna. Does anyone know if this give better AM reception?

BTW, my antenna just broke (133Kmi). motor runs for about 25 seconds at on/off. I've read how to replace the mast but thought I'd explore this while I'm at it.

Might help to include some information on the model, etc.
