Beyond Cargo sliding cargo tray

Sorry to hijack this thread, but I stumbled upon it when researching a slide out tray for our 2016 with 3rd row. I've decided to go ahead and make one (will be for sale) and will be reporting back. The useable space will be 40 5/8 x 36 1/8, and it will be full extension lock in and out. Just another option for anyone else looking for the same thing.

I'm sure it will work with non-3rd row seat models with some slight alterations.

Interested. I have the beyond cargo slide but my latch assemble has broken and attempts to salvage it are short lived. I'm getting tired of piecing it back together. I think the weight of my fridge and full wolf pack boxes are stressing its capacity and design limitations.

I have a 2011 with 3rd row if you want any thoughts or feedback as you design yours.

Definitely interested in this as well.

Must subscribe....been searching for a sliding tray too with no luck :(

...Good Luck!...last year on a TRD-OR, there was NOT a single one in ALL of North-America!....so I had to order it from Japan and wait the 4 months...

...I have very specific plans for mine...which I will explain once it is all built in...

...Hopefully, you can find one that someone has removed and put up for sale?!..

I too am looking for a slide out option on my 17. Do you have pics?

While helping another forum member via pm I ran into this. The dimensions are almost identical to my Beyond Cargo tray but this looks like a better quality build. Of course the price reflects that also. I found one on Amazon for a little over $900.

Could you please send me a link? I might have missed it but I need a reasonably priced cargo tray. Thanks.

Sorry but the BeyondCargo tray I had seems to be extinct. There is a still active link in the top post of this page for another tray option that is very similar. Actually 2 links. One for the manufacturer and another for Amazon. Both opened when I tried them. I can say the tray survived and stayed put through a very violent crash I went through in Jan 2019 that destroyed Da Whale, so the tie down straps did do their jobs.

Old thread, but how does it align with the seats if you wanted to sleep in the back? That's the main draw for the factory tray for me.

IIRC the shelf sits about 2"-3" below the 2nd row seatbacks when they are folded so you would be slightly head high if you slept with your head toward the front. There would also be the issue of the front fence (1 1/2" tall) unless you used a fairly thick mattress pad.
