BF All-Terrain T/A 17"

I have a 06' Sport Edition, V8, 4x4 with factory 17" rim 265/65/17 Dunlops with only 250 miles on them. I want to purchase BF Goodrich All-Terrain K/O blackwalls and based on these forums I see people recommend I can upsize by a factor of 1 to 265/70/17 which will gain about 1.2" in height however per discount tire they do not recommend a difference of 3% or greater where as this setup causes a 3.3% error.
Will this size up affect the Vehicle Stability Control, ABS, X-REAS, Traction Control by any means?

Also, BF has these two models
LT265/70R17/C 112Q RWL 46621 7 - 8.5
10.7 on 8 31.8 16 654 2470@50

LT265/70R17/E 121R RWL 55086 7 - 8.5 10.7 on 8 31.8 16 654 3195@80

I would not get the Load range E tire as the ride will be VERY stiff. The standard C load range is fine.

The difference in tire size should be acceptable. Just keep in mind that you will be travelling 3.3% faster than what your speedo says. You can always get a speedo correction computer from Superlift if you are worried about it.

There are many on this forum who has the exact same size. Some say that it causes a tiny bit of rubbing (not detrimental to anything)...and some say that it does not rub. Your spare tire compartment should fit the upsize.

I would get 265/70/17 Load C.

Get the C range unless you are going to be carring a lot of extra weight much of the time.

The tire may be 1 inch taller but since your axle is in the middle so you will only gain about a half inch in vehicle height and ground clearance. Look at the fj tire size compared to the 4runners and then look at ground clearance on Toyotas website.

The difference between the KO 70s and the dunflop's 65s is 1.2" in diameter which is a .6" increase in clearance. Also the percentage difference is 2% not 3.3%. You will be fine, many have used this size with no problems.

Looks like I will be getting an 06' Limited V8 4x4 with 18" wheels. The BF All Terrain KO's would be upsized from the stock Dunlop of 265/60/18 up to 265/65/18. Would this be alright and equal to the above responses to the 17" specs and issues?

No worries. V8 has a bit lower gearing than the v6. You could go bigger with out much seat of the pants decrease in power.

But don't make the common mistake of 1 size larger then 6 month from not get a lift and go 3 sizes larger than stock.

I would suggest go big. Lift it.

The 265/70/17 KO comes in "C + E" ratings.

Yes to both of your questions. It will be significant, but tolerable. The ride will be most obvious.

That sure looks like a BFG AT KO knockoff. I don't see any indication of 3-ply sidewall. Otherwise, it looks like a real good deal. SNOWFLAKE-ON-MOUNTAIN symbol too.
