BFG 265/70/17 Load C Rub Issues?

Can anyone who has the stock size KO2s please comment if you've experienced any rubbing issues ?

I'm looking into buying this size to replace my stock duellers but don't want to trim any plastic to be honest. I also want to keep the front mudflaps one I've read other members have experienced some issues even on this size.

Yes. I just responded to your question in the other thread too.

I put KO2 265/70/17-C on FN Fx Pro Wheels and had some rubbing on the driver's side fender/bumper area when in reverse and steering wheel turned all the way to the right. I pushed the black fender liner back but that didn't fix my problem. I had to trim a small portion of the actual fender/bumper. I had my wife sit in the driver's seat, put it in reverse, turn the steering wheel, and slowly backup while I watched the tire. The picture below shows the piece I had to trim with a Dremel tool. Took about 3 minutes to find and solve the problem. Unless you know exactly where to look, you'd never see the trimmed area.

There shouldn't be any rubbing if you are staying with the stock tire size and stock wheels. The rubbing usually happens if you are running aftermarket wheels. There are folks on this forum who run the 275 KO2s on stock wheels with no rubbing and there are some that do have rubbing. With that said, only way to find out is to put the tires on and see if they rub or not.
 
I had no rubbing on the TRD Pro wheels (with 265s) but when I added the spidertrax wheel spacers, I had rubbing in the front fender and mud guard (when in reverse and full turn)

Had to push the fender liner forward, trim excess bumper and replace mud guard with aftermarket ones. I could have probably trimmed the oem mud guard, but since my wheels were sticking out out more, there isn't enough coverage. Purchased RallyAmour mud flaps that extend out to help protect the formerly exposed areas.

May I ask where you bought from and how much?

I have a new 17 Off-Road Premium and tires/wheels are my first mod.

Just bought a set of the black TRD pro wheels last week so now I'm looking for tires. I've been reading and reading about all the different tires and am just overwhelmed with info.

I plan to stay stick lift for a long time as this is my first off road car and my daily driver so I want to learn about off road first on beginner trails before venturing out to more extreme off roads.

Also, id like to not have to cut/trim any flaps as I don't have the necessary tools.

Can anyone recommend me good tires for socal region daily/trail driving that will fit my stock 17 TRD-ORP with the TRD Pro wheels that will give me better than stock capabilities and look decently aggressive?

If some people are experiencing rubbing with 265/70/17, is it out of the realm of possibility for me to get 275/70/17 in a more capable tire?

I've been thinking about the ko2s or the nitto grapplers as I believe those come on the stock trd pro.
