Bfg a/t 275/70/17

Hey guys,

I just made a purchase on new tires and I wanted to see if anyone has pics of their 4th gen with this setup?

Also, I have a 2.5 in toytec front spacer and 1.5 in rear coil with FJ struts... Do ya'll think these tires will rub on anything (without wheel spacers)? I am not too concerned about the fender-well as I can trim that, but what about the inner suspension parts?

One more thing, the tire is an E rated (10 ply) tire... How bad will that effect the ride on the road?

jediwebdude had a similar setup with 275/70R17 BFG ATs, although I believe he has the OW coil overs & AP 3.5" springs now.

Also, I have the E rated 265/65R18 BFG ATs and they do ride a bit rougher than the C rated versions and a good bit rougher than the OEM P rated tires. The stiffness isn't enough to make me regret going with them though.

Good to know. Thanks for the help. I was talking with a buddy of mine who has duratracs 285/75/17 or 70/17 can't remember with no wheel spacer and only rubs at a full turn on the wheel on the fender so I think i'll be good.

OEM FJ wheels have a little less (like 1/4" I think) backspacing so people don't seem to have the same problem with them rubbing the UCAs as those with 4Rs & OEM wheels do.

275s should be fine either way, but 285s on stock wheels may rub the UCA a bit.

Do you think there will be any rubbing issues in the rear? With a 1.5 inch coil and FJ struts?

The rear should be fine, I havent heard anyone complain about rubbing the rear. The front usually rubs during steering mostly

Oh ok. What about inner suspension parts? i.e UCA or LCA?
