I love mine so far. Super smooth and very quiet. Much quieter than the KO's. The only thing I would change is to go with a taller tire.
One is going to be a Load Range C tire and one is a Load Range E. Load Range C is usually fine for most 4runners. Load Range E is only needed on our 4runners if you need extra thick sidewalls but it may ride a little stiff. Load Range C has a 6 ply rating, Load Range E has a 10 ply rating (think HD pickup truck tires).

You're forgetting the flotation sized KO2s that are universally load range D, like my 34x10.5R17s. 8 Ply tires and weigh less than the same tire in 285/70R17 E load range.

Right, I forgot to add flotation sizes are typically Load Range D. In between a Load Range C and E in terms of weight and sidewall thickness. BTW, Love those 34's you got!
I got ahead of myself and assumed [MENTION=131490]WEAK_E90[/MENTION] was looking at the OEM 265 size. They have a listing for both C and E Load Range tires.
I'm running 265/70/17's on both 4runners. KO's on my 2014 and KO2's on my 4th gen. Running the KO2's for about 6 months now, makes me wish I would've installed them on my 5th gen as well.

I've got 10k miles on mine with one rotation. Still super quiet, look almost brand new, and my mileage continues to go up, now at 19.3 vs 19.1. I've never had so many people comment on tires before. Random people in parking lots asking me (and my wife) about the KO2's. I find that hilarious.
One thing I noticed the other day when it was raining in Denver. I did get some tire spin / chirp and a little traction control kicking in when accelerating from a stop on wet roads. Could be that I was just a little too heavy with my foot, not sure. It rarely rains in Denver so it was probably me.
The "rolling through wet paint" sound has also gotten softer.

So if i were to go 265/70R17 the load size i would need for my 2015 5th gen would be C? or E?
C should be fine. I have Cooper AT/3's (275s) at load range C, and have put them through the ringer. They've held up fine. Never felt I was "under-tired". Haha, is that even a phrase?
ETA: I'm leaning strongly towards the KO2 for my next set. Should be coming up pretty soon, too. I wish they made 285s in load range D. Not sure I want to go cf coder's route with the 34s.

So you're happy with the Coopers, too? Why are you considering the switch to KO2s?
I'm deciding between these two tires for when I can upgrade.

Don't fear the 34s! They are BFGs so they are undersized (factory states 33.5 inch diameter and my measurements put them just a bit under that). So, they're not much bigger then the 285/70R17 anyway. Plus you'll likely get better gas mileage from them due to the 10.5" width. Only issue is cost. They cost more than the 285s do for a thinner sidewall...

LR C should be fine unless you are playing in really jagged rocks everyday. I run LR C's on both of mine and I do occasionally play on jagged rocks but the BFG's handle it just fine.

Got mine installed today, very much like the changes. Cosmetic is nice, but so glad to be rid of the residual bounce over every bump of those Damn Duelers. Time will tell on the mph change. Fools at tire shop tried to give it to me at only 35psi having ignored the computer assigned amount of 40. They said they only usually put 35psi in LT tires after install on something that had P-metrics before. Friendly and inexpensive, but starting to question knowledge.
Play with the pressure, but definitely try 45psi. That's where I ended up with.

I'd like to hear a bit more about the ride a few weeks from now if you don't mind...I'm thinking I should change my color choice to silver instead of White after seeing your truck.

According to [MENTION=66316]1engineer[/MENTION] and the tire guide, you need to cut and reposition the plastic wheel well liner and mud flaps to get 285's to fit. I didn't want to mess with that, more of an improvement over modification type. Although that's just samntics, there's plenty here who define modification as improvement!
[MENTION=47340]Titanpat57[/MENTION], follow up to come. I drive about 130mi per day mostly highway with about 25mi of slow country roads and errands on weekends. Forecast for my area is nice and dry all this week, but there's surely rain to come beyond that. I'm hoping I can give a good follow up after Thanksgiving when I take it down to the TN mountains, over the river, through the woods, and off the paved road to my parents place.
Yeah, I liked the Coopers, they were alright. Kinda tough to balance. Fairly good tread life. Good in snow. Just nothing about them wow'ed me. I've had BFGs before, nothing but good luck with them. And I think the KO2 has a badass sidewall.
