No sense wondering weight differences because they don't make that tire in a "C" rating.
But, going by other tires close to that size, the "E" rating tire would probably be 7-8 lbs heavier.

Just had a set of the KO2's 275/70/17 "E" load put on my 2011 Trail on Saturday. Replacing a set of KO's that had about 70,000 kms on them. So far much improved ride and sharp looking tire.
The guy I deal with at the tire shop actually went on a course in Calgary where they took the KO2's through their paces over 3 days. Based on what he was told directly from the BFG/Michelin folks, the only 17" KO2 that will be available in 2014 is the 275/70/17 in E load. I had him try and get C load but based on everything he checked, they are simply not making them yet is this load rating.
Could you measure the installed height of the tire for me? From the top of the tire to the ground. The manufactures specs are usually inaccurate and I want to see if I can get by using this tire with my stock spare on a Limited full time 4x4.

Those are 275/70/17s right? If so could you measure the height of the tire for me. From the top of the tire to the ground. Are you using your stock spare?
Couple of notes.
First I did not bother with a KO2 for my spare. I have an original unused KO from my last set of tires for the spare.
Second as for mileage, I have a couple of tanks through since I put the KO2's on and am not noticing any significant difference in mileage. It has maybe reduced a bit but nothing material. I average 13l/100km or somewhere around 620 kms +/- per tank.
I am headed to Boston in a couple of weeks and will be better able to determine if there is any material change during that trip.
As for ride - it is great. Leaps and bounds above the original KO's I had on previously.
I was actually considering trading vehicles before I got these tires put on. Now I am definitely hanging onto this for a couple more years. Just put on Weathertech visors (second best investment I have made for the 4Runner other than KO2's), have an interior light set somewhere in transit and getting a Pioneer Avic NEX 6000 unit installed on Friday.

Thank you. Is that with the weight of the 4runner on the tire? I just measured my stock 20" tire and it is about 30 5/8 with the weight on the tire. I am trying to determine if I can use my stock spare on my full time 4x4 until I find another used 17" rim and funds for a 5th tire for the spare. I am only going to use the new tires as off road tires in the desert and run the 20s the rest of the year.
Yes that is with the weight on the tires.

First impressions are the tires feel great and are comparable to my last set of E rated 265/70r16 BFG TKO's on my 2001 T4R when i sold it in Feb 2014. I notice less "sponginess" compared to the grandtreks. Visually they look great have less sidewall bulge and i cannot notice the 1/2" diameter change. If you can wait for the stock size c rated ones you want thats great but i think you would be satisfied with the 275 e's.
