BFG All-Terrain T/A KO2 went on sale today

Silly question - is the KO2 a replacement for the KO?
I'm hoping for a discount/sale on the KO if that's the case...ray:

KOs will be significantly discounted once the KO2 are shipping. Count on it.

KO 2's available at Costco up here in Montreal, 265/70/17 load range c.

Yep, I went to a Costco (north of Montréal) and they have them. They even have one on display in the front. This is a nice tire!

I did some Facebook profile stalking, and the pic of the truck I posted is from Canada too. In fact, it looks like all of the tire pic's are being posted from our northern friends.

So I guess my earlier assumption about Canada was correct...

I just got through re-calling Discount Tire (2 locations); TireRack; CostCo; NTB and Pep Boys. NADA!!!

Might just have to get a set of those old fashioned KO's as my current set is beginning to be unsafe in heavy rain. Somma-beotch!!!

Like I assumed: "Missed it by that much"... Oh well, 55-60K miles comes up in less than 2 years for me (currently at 55K on my '13 T4R), so I won't have to wait too long to replace them again...

Nice! Will be calling them ASAP once I get settled in here at work. If that doesn't work out, I'm going to try going directly to the Michelin Distributor and see if they can help a 7-time (over $6K) BFG AT buying customer out by sneaking a set down from Canada

I just looked at the Summit site. I do not see the KO2 listed. They do list the KM2 as being available 11/3 but that is the mud terrain tire has been out several years. I looked at the BFG site last night and looked at the reviews for the KO2, the only one posted was a guy complaining about the size he needed for a Tundra was not available. I wrote a review complaining that the 265/70/17 size was not available till March. This morning both reviews were removed from the site.

This is a special order for Summit - The salesman said their next BFG shipment is expected in November. He was NOT able to confirm specific availability of the LT265/70R17/C 112 S KO2 (BFG# 66255).

Summit is curiously the ONLY place that had a listing for BFG# 66255 in their system. None of the other 4-5 tire places had ANY info in their systems on the KO2's at all.

I mentioned the official release date published by BFG, and he stated the BFG PDF was likely correct, and to not expect these until March.

He said I could pre-order them, but not to expect them until March.

Then, he put me on hold while he called BFG (actually Michelin I guess?).

Well, straight from the horse's mouth (via Summit):
The "E"'s are indeed shipping next month as BFG stated. The "C's" (BFG# 66255) are officially slated for March 2015.

The Summit rep said BFG was NOT shipping these (BFG# 66255) to ANY retailers - ONLY to racers/sponsors and mainly for Baja stuff (for promotion and to get the word out and create some excitement for the KO2's).

He also said the Canadian availability is very likely different from domestic US availability, and not to expect any cross-pollination there for a myriad of reasons

Back to "Missed it by that much" (well, more like "missed it by 4-5 months" as my current KO's won't hold out much longer and will need something soon - possibly no later than November to pass inspection!)

I believe they mistakenly used the ship date for the "E" load range in the same size which IS slated for November...

Just called back again to confirm availability - They said "I'd believe what BFG just told us on the phone (just a few minutes ago) over what our website states".

This adventure has been an emotional roller-coaster! I keep getting my hopes up every time someone says "Here they are" only to have my hopes smashed into oblivion after I put in the legwork and research...

I'm planning on giving up the search and buying a set of "vintage" KO's pretty soon. :crybaby:

My current set is getting squirrely in heavy rain and only getting worse with every 106 mile trip to work and back...

I know what you mean. I've loved the KO's I've had on my 2000 T4R. the first set i changed with 73k miles on them. I just hope these new ones will have the same tread wear ability.

Supposedly they will. I believe my next set (coming up soon) will either be my 6th or 7th full set of BFG All-Terrains since I've been driving Toyota trucks! Lots and lots of miles with my ass in a Toyota truck seat! :rofl:
