I picked up my BFG KO2s yesterday from 4Wheel Parts in Tacoma WA. Had them put on my FJ wheels I had powder coated a wrinkle semi gloss black finish. BFG size is 275/70R17 which I am glad I did not go any bigger or any smaller. I love the look and cant wait to hit some trails.

I've read lots of conflicting info about LT tires and pressures, this was my quick conversation with BFG, straight from the horses mouth:
Me - My truck came stock with P245/60/20 107H tires and the recommended tire pressure of 32 psi all the way around. I'm switching to 17 wheels and going with a sightly bigger tire. I'm planning on buying a set of LT275/70/17 K02s which have a load rating of E. What would be the appropriate tire pressure to run switching to your E rated LT tires?
BFG - We would recommend the PSI on the new LT275/70R17 to be 35 front and 35 rear.
Me - I'm not doubting or disputing your advice but out of curiosity how did you come up with 35 psi? What is the reasoning/criteria that lead you to that pressure? Thank you for the input.
BFG - Your OE tires carried 1973 lbs per tire at 32 PSI. Your new tires carry 2000 lbs per tire at 35 PSI. So if you lower the PSI any you do not meet the load requirements set by Toyota. Hopefully that clears up your question. If not give us a call at the number below and we can discuss it more detail. We appreciate your business and thank you for choosing BFGoodrich.
Hmm... I asked them a few days ago as well via email.
Me - Hi, I recently purchased BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 Off-Road Radial Tire - 275/70R17 121R for a 2015 4Runner SR5 4x4. What is the suggested tire pressure? Thanks!
BFG - The proper inflation recommended is 45psi (for the front and rear) in order to meet all of the load carrying capacity requirements.
I only got to drive a little bit on city streets today on the way home and they seemed fine at 45psi (miles better than the stock Dunlops, for sure). In my head 45 seems high, but I wouldn't know what to look for (besides explosions, I guess...) to know if they are over-inflated or not though.

Picked mine up today. So far so good.
Audi Tech, you make good point about dedicated winter tires. More to it than just tread as siping, rubber compound and tread all work together in a winter tire.If anyone is wondering, these tires do carry the serve service emblem (the snowflake inside the mountain) indicating they are meant for some snow use. I run the stock 20's with Blizzak snow tires all winter long here in the mountains. We got hit with a decent spring snow storm yesterday while I have already gone to the TRD Pro/275 E rated K02s I have for not winter. They aren't terrible in the snow by any means but they fall well short of dedicated winter tires. Not even in the same ballpark for traction, stability, and control.
Just got mine mounted. Extremely pleased with the ride and low road noise. Oh and they look badass. Can't wait to get them dirty.![]()
