It's not that he's saying its wrong. BF suggest tires based on what came from the factory (liability reasons). They're not going to recommend an LT rated or larger size tire when a specific passenger tire came on the vehicle originally.
That's not to say you can't run an LT tire with your 4runner, it's just that they're not going to come out and recommend it.
Not to knock the KO2's, but people on these forums are pretty much saying the tire is just ok, nothing great. They are not amazed by them.

That's.... nice. This is a BF Goodrich KO2 specific thread. Not sure how posting about Cooper P rated tires, and their recommended pressure is relevant or helpful to the topic at hand. (Not to knock your tire choice, as it's a good one)

Can't fit an r16 since 4Runners need at least a 17" wheel...
Reading comprehension is not your strong suit. You should probably stay away from forums and the internet in general because nothing you've said so far makes any sense. If you'd even bother reading those threads that you posted, people were complaining about the OLD KO's. Most of the user opinions on there didn't even address the NEW KO2's which is an upgrade (obviously) over the old one.
Anyways, thanks for your contribution to this thread...
That's odd being that subject header in those forums clearly reads KO2.
I would copy and paste what people said about the KO2's in those forums so you can see it, but in my old age sleep takes precedence.
My tire pressure saga continues with another update:
Well, long story short, I'm at 45 and happy now for driving around town.
I also broke down at bought a Masterflow MV-1050 and a digital tire pressure reader from Pep Boys because I'll be dammed if I trust another gas station tire pressure gauge again. At one point I thought I was driving around at 40psi, and come to find out I was at 52 the whole time!
Anyway, 45 is fine now, it doesn't feel near as harsh as I thought it did. Feels pretty good actually. Either my suspension needed to "settle" after installing bilsteins front and back, or I just got used to the different feeling ride, or both.
So now that my highway tire pressure is pretty much settled, what PSI are you guys running with 275/70/17s for trails? Lol.

I don't know if it make a difference or not, maybe you should state which size of tires do you have.
I run 45psi on LT265/70R17 and am very happy with that.

I run 44-45 for street.
30 for normal all around offroad, desert washes, rocky trails and all manner of dirt roads.
24 for steeper/rougher trails and regular rock crawling.
20 for deep sand, dunes or possibly for a tougher rock climb.

I was running 40 and just changed up to 45. Definitely a difference in handling and the feeling of bumps and grooves on pavement. I love these tires. They handle amazingly so far in all terrains: snow, offroad, rain, and dry pavement.

Have had my K02 for a bit now, and really like them.
Quick question though... with the windows down a rolling to a stop or taking off, do your tires sort of sound like they are rolling over wet paint or something to that effect? Only when going really slow. Once i get up to speed there is almost no road noise. I assume its just the tread on the road, but thought I would ask if anyone else hears this same sound with new K02's

Heh yes, when under acceleration (+ or -) the lugs bend some under the strain and when they contact and release they individually slip a little I think making the noise as they touch or leave the pavement, also when turning. I can hear it really clearly on my smooth cement driveway when turning. The softness of the rubber that allows that to happen makes them noisier and much higher rolling resistance than normal street tires... BUT much better offroad
