So I am trying to sell my 4runner.

I have it posted in the classified section. If you guys know anyone that might be interested point them in the right direction. I hate to see it go, but really need to get a pickup for work and there now is really no way around it.

The good thing....TRD Supercharged Tundra with a Camburg Long Travel Kit, Fiberglass front fenders and bedsides riding on 37's!!!!!!! Uh Oh :)

I am asking $40k, considering have prob $30k including labor on mods I think its a pretty fair deal.

Anyway, like i said if you know anyone that might be interested let them know there is a quality built 5th Gen all ready to go out of the box :)

I know there are pics of the truck all over the forum, but you should post some on this thread also. So incase any member has a buddy that might be interested, they can just go to this thread and see the truck. Just my two cents...
 
Do you have a long commute for work? Why not get an older pickup for a few thousand and keep the 4R?

Have not bought the Tundra yet. Waiting to sell the runner first. If I cant sell the Runner for a decent amount of money I will just keep it and buy an older pick up to drive when I need it.

Who knows, just kinda throwin a feeler out there to guage some interest. I really dont want to sell it, I love this truck, it is, hands down the best truck I have ever built!!!
 
But, I have needed a pick up for work for the last couple years and have always stayed away from it because I didn't want one. I am now in the process of trying to acquire another new business which will require me even more use of a pickup. And it would really make life a lot easier if the pick up was my daily driver. I am in sales and own the company so it would be me driving around and grabbing things here and there, helping my foremans out, etc. So I really dont want to drive an older pick up around all day.

Anyway, when its all said and done the easiest and best thing for me to do is sell the 4runner and buy a new pickup that I enjoy driving everyday and is nice. I would be pissed off all day everyday in an old pickup when I knew my awesome 4runner was sitting at home in the garage because I had to pick up one load in the middle of the day that took me 45 minutes to take care of!

Sad the 4Runner no longer meets your needs, but life is short, drive what is best for you! I hope whoever ends up with the 4Runner contributes to this forum like you have.

With that said, don't be a stranger...better post pics of the new truck/build!
 
Good luck with the sale. It's definitely one badass 4R! Got any pics of that Tundra though? Enquiring minds want to know. :)

Just thinking out loud, but how about a refurbed military trialer? Use it when you need it and save a ton of cash

I use mine all the time, only thing I'm going to do this spring, is change the existing surge brake a new Dexter axle w/ brakes, Spidertrax, and matching TE rims with LT Revos


The M116A2 is a flatbed version, and the M101A2 is the box versions. Rated for 3/4 ton but will hold more.

I hear ya, and that is a good idea. I have a couple trailers that are different sizes that I could use, but then you are towing a trailer around all the time.

I am in the situation where I could get a call from one of my foreman's and he tells me that he needs a pallet of something on the other side of town. If I had a pickup I simply pick up, drop off and head home, or to a meeting, or whatever.

With a trailer I am hauling the trailer around all day, everyday, weather I use it or not, or I get the call and dont have it and need it, and have to go pick it up and then drop it back off, etc, etc.

I have tried to think through many options so that I can keep the 4runner, none seem to make sense after I am done thinking it through.

This could all be a mute point anyway, because I simply may not be able to get rid of it for a decent price. I will not sell the truck for book value and just give 20k away. So I may just be stuck and end up having to go and pick up the trailer :(

Who knows. Definitely not something I am gonna worry too much about, bigger fish to fry in my life :)

Well, that makes it a bit complicated so I understand your train of thought. I was researching truck prices last night and found some interesting stuff. I had planned on using an 86 Chevy around the farm but frankly, the deals that can be had on 2001-2004 F250 diesels had me interested.

Been eyeing these for a while on government liquidation. You like them?
 
Simple really. Hire a assistant with a pick up. After your boss calls you, just call the assistant on where to drop off the stuff. To make life more better make sure the assistant is a hot girl who loves to wear mini skirts. Problem solved.
