Big Bear snow Sunday

Anyone down to play in Big Bear/ snow valley on Sunday? 90% chance of snow, 5-8 inches. I have 2 free tickets to the ski resort for anyone that wants to go from when I got new tires for the wife's armada. Probably snowboard Saturday, hit trails Sunday when it snows. Again, I'm stock so keeping it simple.

YES PLEASE..

That's only 5 minutes from me and I'd love to go. I'll take you on a little tour of GVL if you got time.

Anyone else is welcome to go. Trying to find a place to stay with the dogs. But how much can I actually do with stock tires. They look brand new. But are not anything fancy. Really depends on how much it snows I guess. But I'd really like to at least try out the 4 wheel drive.

Sounds tempting. I'm a little concerned that this storm is said to bring high winds with it. I just don't want to be stuck out there in white out conditions. As long as someone who is going knows the trail and area very well, it sounds doable.

Gvl said he can show me a place close to him. He has a winch to. Not sure if or how long he will show because he has company. But as long as I can say I used my 4 wheel drive I'll be happy

@GVL is the man to trust up there. Wish I could come, but Sundays are my only kid free day and I only have a 6 hour window to get shit done.

@GVL what do you think? 5-8 inches of new snow during the day. I'm not sure how much is on the ground already up there. You have any runs in mind that would be passable in those conditions?

Traffic up and down the hill via 330 and 18 will be an epic clusterf*ck on Sunday. The 38 is the only way I would think about going.

Above angels oaks, the 1N09 west might interest you. It generally stays above 3500 feet, the anticipated snow level. It is an easy road, 2wd passable when dry.

Imm gonna take the 38 to the bottom of 1n12 and take that up to angelus oaks just to avoid any traffic

Took a chance on a trail today at arrow head. 2n94 I believe. No problems. Even all stock. I'll make my adventure thread when I'm back with pics/ videos.

I'll be headed to big bear area to see the area and tackle one or two trails depending on if I feel comfortable. Probably going to at least find the gold mining trail and do that one.

Unfortunately no. Rain at lake arrowhead. Seems the snow starts at 8am at big bear on Sunday so I'll be there for it hopefully.
