Great shots! Is that an ISI off road bike rack? How do you like it? Does it give you enough clearance and stability to wheel with bikes in tow? Also, how did you purchase it in the US?

Looks like a good trip. I've been wanting to get out there for a while now and had even targeted the Guale campsites as the park says they are the most remote. Any rough spots on the trail? How did your paint fare, I hear the brush and cactus can be overgrown in places and tough on it?

thanks man. yes, it is an ISI, good eye! i really like it. good clearance, we did all the way to the lookout on guale and didn't drag at all. Did engineer pass last summer loaded down and stock suspension, and didn't have issue there either. it is a bit more involved to get it all dialed in right, but once you have it set, pretty fast to load and unload. very stable hitch method. i just emailed them directly, shipping was quick and flat fee was reasonable. they are good people, the owner actually used to live in our neighborhood years ago.

it was a lot of fun. the campsites are remote, and yes--the brush is overgrown! i don't see anything terribly bad, but there is significant striping...i expect most will come out, and the silver paint helps visually i think. a couple of moderate parts of the trail, but nothing really difficult at all, to me, didn't ever catch the undercarriage anywhere and approach and departure looked good most everywhere. just a really scenic path with a lot of tight brush and a few loose rock slopes on shelf roads. very few ledges or steps

thanks man, we didn't need to use the traction ramps on this outing. these are maxtrax, and i have heard good reviews on tred brand also

Very nice. Wife and I go to Big Bend about every other year. Haven't been since we got the 4Runner. We have done the trails in a Wrangler a few times and can't wait to get the 4Runner out there since we got it last year.
