biggest size spare you can fit under t4r

If you want goodyear duratracs, go ahead and get them. Don't stress too much about the brand name of your spare tire. I went to a used tire shop and got an old firestone a/t tire for 35 bucks mounted OTD. It's all about personal taste I guess, just offering my 2 cents.

i always thought they had to be the same size to avoid damaging tranny and transfer case

I also had a 285/70R17 Goodyear MT/R under my '12 TE, but won't recommend the MT/R. Duratracs or the BFG KM2 would the the way to go

While I run 285/70 17's I elected to go with a 255/80 17 for the spare. Thanks to Harper7 for the idea. It has essentially the same diameter as the 285 but it's thinner therefore keeping it from hanging down/out as far as the wider 285. Just a preference thing I guess.

So the 285 duratrac fits? I just picked up a set this weekend and was checking out the clearance and the stock tire looks like it only has less than 1/2 inch room before the hitch? I have a 2015....I wonder if there is less room.

Mine fits but it's bridgestone revo on oem wheel so maybe duras are more of a square tire ?

Silly question here, but any chance the regular 2015 TE rim (non spare) would fit down there?
Assuming it does cuz that's where the one with a flat would go but just need to be sure..
