Biggest tire size safe on stock setup?

That looks great! You also have a 2" lift where I'm totally stock.

Since I'll just put some simple AT tires on there rubbing shouldn't be bad at all. Thanks again man!

What is a stock set up? Different years came with different height springs.
With my stock 99 springs I ran both 275/70/16 & 265/70/17. Both are around a 31.5" tire depending on brand & type of tire. HT, AT or MT.
33's will rub even with a 2.5" lift up front. That's why I installed a 1" body lift with 1.5" wheel spacers so I wouldn't have to do any trimming or hammering.
Of course wheel back spacing come's into play so YMMV!

Unless your truck came with 15" wheels from the factory, then it would be 225/70/15

I bought it with the 16" 5 spokes. The tires had decent tread and i think they were Michelin. 2nd or 3rd set maybe so not from the factory but definitely 265/70 16

Keep in mind that a suspension lift won't help tires clear. They still travel through the same arc/travel even if the static position is different. It might help on the street, but it won't stop rubbing while flexing.

Good to know. Pretty much a DD turned 3rd car. Highway/city driver so flex is not extreme.

There are two factory tire sizes, depending on how the truck was optioned. The factory tire size also dictates gear ratios and brake size too. Don't trust the door sticker though, most of the 16" wheel trucks still show 225/75-15 as the tire size. If you can get a VIN report from Toyota that shows the options your truck was equipped with, it will show the actual wheel/tire package the truck came with.

They were either: 225/75-15 tires or 265/70-16 tires, either one with matching wheels.

I tried to be clear as possible on multiple threads i have the 16" 5 spokes. So stock would be the 265/70 R16.

The real question is what issues if any would i see putting 265/75 R16s on a new Pro Comp wheel thats 16x8 rather than 16x7 like I have now. The 8" wheel width is my main concern.

He's saying stock tires size is 265/70-16 unless you have a 15" wheel truck, then the stock tire size is 225/75-15.

The 8" width for new wheels is not an issue, just make sure you get the right backspacing/offset.

Yea i assumed thats what was meant but wanted to be 100 if he inew something i didn't. The backspacing is 4.25 on Pro Comps vs. stock 4.625. It might bump them out a little but should clear everything.

It might be a bit but I'll post results when I have them.

WHAT IS THE RECOMMENDED TIRE PRESSURE FOR 32" AKA 265/75/r16 ?
ALSO 32 PSI LIKE FOR STOCK SIZED ONES OR MORE?

Easiest way to figure this out is to put a chalk line across the tread then drive it. Adjust pressure until you seeing the line wearing off evenly. Each tire will like a different pressure so there is no number that works for every tire. For best mileage set it at max pressure it show on the sidewall. Best off road is go as low as you feel comfortable with.

Finally got the wheels, they rub on the front caliper

So I have everything mounted/balanced and when they finally went on the fronts were rubbing on the calipers. 16x8 ProComp D-Windows. Backspacers don't seem like an option.

Any ideas?

I'm about to have to deal with the same problem you are. Same wheels ordered.

Options seem to be Grinding Caliper or Spacers.

Nooga, Im going to take the passenger front off again and check for any rubbing. I couldn't see any grooves or scrapes on that caliper. If that one is clean then i know something is up with the driver side. Maybe just file down where the groove is forming on the caliper.

For what it's worth, not knowing that there was an issue, when they pulled my truck around they looked awesome on my truck.

not 100% on this one but I'd bet there will at least be some rubbing on the flares.
