Biggest tires without rubbing on stock '03 SR5

Anyone know the biggest tire size that you can put on a stock '03 SR5 with 16's? I have 265/65/R16's (Milestar Patagonia's from PO) on atm which rub a little when the wheel is at full lock, but they're being replaced with 265/75/R16's today (Duratracs). I'm just a little concerned about them rubbing with the extra tire height.

the tires you have now are about 30.5 & the new ones are about 31.5, you should be fine but what offset on the atm wheels? thats what may be causing rub at full lock. just move the inner wheel liner forward & maybe trim the bumper. So the duratracs arrived today, they're enormous. Gonna return em and order goodyear adventures instead (in the p metric this time).

No, duratracs are just beefy as hell. Plus things always look bigger before they are installed. Keep them, the duratrac is a a great all purpose tire. I beasted the snow storm today with them. Paging [MENTION=72341]NJshadow93[/MENTION] and cc: duratrac crew

255-75-17 AT tires will fit. The GY Silent Armour was very popular.

There should be very little difference between a LT & P overall diameter..

235/85r16's fit and are awesome in the snow,this size is 32" tall

You might be fine depending on your wheels.
FYI that I run P265/75R16 Mich LTX M/S^2 for summer and LT275/70R16 BFG A/T^2 (big tire) for winter. No rubbing with stock wheels and suspension; just a slight noise at full lock due to touching the little inner flexible flaps that I'm too lazy to remove or trim.

if you rub with a 265/65/16 already and want to go with a 265/75/16 it doesn't matter what tire you go with it will Rub a whole hell of a lot more if you don't do something about the rubbing you already have.

+1. Another duratrac fan here. GREAT in the snow, traction/ABS hardly kicks-in anymore and I drove through some legit storms here in Boston. Look great, come in "C" load, hum is no worse than the old Grabbers I had, what's not to like?

I'll have to try for pics this weekend (I work wed-friday straight), but it doesn't always happen. I've almost passed it off as a quirk at this point, but the new tires and alignment may sort that out. Thinking about putting in spacers too while I'm at it.

Anyone got a good 2" lift kit that's inexpensive yet doesn't impact offroad performance? And anyone got a good spacing kit for wheels? (And is spacing wheels worth it?)

I have 2" rear spacers that i will sell you if you are interested. They are aluminum and I got them from [MENTION=87539]wnelax04sr5[/MENTION] but I won't be using them. I will also have a set of rear FJ coils FS.

This is in the next week or so, contingent upon the weather and when I can get my rear end pulled apart. PM me if interested.

I did my entire suspension overhaul with the bottle jack because my floor jack died, but a good jack and more so stands are very helpful, there are tons of write ups. I might even make a video when I swap out my rears.

I'm sure you could find a local forum member to help too.

Yes, you might have a little bit of rubbing when you are backing up and turning the wheel. But this can be alleviated by moving your fender liners forward a little bit and POSSIBLY having to trim a little bit of your mud flaps. I had 265-70-17 Yokohama Geolanders on my stock suspension and had to do those little items to make it all work.
