biggest tires?

hey hey hey, i'm still cruising on 225/75/15's hahaha.

so i was wondering. since i dont have the cash to get rims but i can still get new tires, which tires would get better mpg 235/85/15 or something like 265/75/15?

the 235 are a lot thinner so wouldnt that mean less drag cause there would be less rubber in contact with the rode?

I have 2wd and so i dont go wheeling much, i'm in it for the practicality of my 4r and the mpg. lol.

any advice would be nice. thanks. =)

If you're looking for best MPG and you don't wheel, then stick with your current size. Makes no sense to go bigger. When you start wheeling, get some 265/75/15 or 31x10.5/15 (same thing).

Hi, just wondering what the largest size tires I can put on my stock 2000 t4r sr5? right now it has firestone destination a/t 265/ 70r16. I can't afford new rims, but I think I can swing bigger tires. thanks.

I just squeezed some Thunderer Trac grip M/T 285/75r16 on my 2000 t4r sr5, the Thunderer website says they are 33.1" and they definitely are. I'm on stock suspension but am getting bilenstein/boss 3in lift soon. It only rubs at full lock
