Bilstein 60mm BTS System

It looks like 3 different "kit" numbers to me.

First one is just the coil overs

Other two are actual kits that include the coil overs and rears

Hence the single part number for the coilover
then the coilover part number + the words "kit" for the others...

I was saying the 500 ea for the coilovers, not kits

He's been active on the Tacoma World thread today. Nothing really new to report over there though

except this:
At this time, they are going to only release a shock for stock weight. We are discussing extended length shocks for the rear as well as different rates for the front, as of now there is nothing in the works.

This does not appear it is for 1) coilover, but for 1) 6112 Kit, not a rear shock kit.

$499 for two shocks and coils? That makes it only $100 more than a pair of of 5100's and 2 inch coils, not too shabby.

..Yes, that is exactly what I was saying/asking.. Thanks

@cbjacob316 As Saker kindly showed, its safe to say the $499 is just for the pair of "coilovers". The kits do not show a price yet. And to me that makes sense in comparison to the price of a pair of 5100s and some coils. IMO, these are just beefy 5100s with a nicer adjustment perch. A good in between for someone that wants more than the standard 5100 shock but doesnt want to pay for/need a true coilover. Id go on to say Bilstein produced these to be a Toytec Boss killer. Or maybe vice versus given Bilstein goes way above and beyond in their R&D.

So for a savings of ~$400, you trade the threaded shock coilover for a much improved adjustment perch. Both are valved to our specific trucks and have a beefier shock.

Has anyone heard whether or not these will get their Limited Lifetime Warranty or their 90 day warranty like the 5160s and 5125s? The site below lists the 6100 series to have the 90, but I havent read for sure. Apologies if I missed it being said before.

I'm so tired of companies selling "Coilovers" that don't include the tophat. It adds a ton of work to save a very small amount of money. IMO that is an incomplete product. It should come pre assembled and ready to install.

Agreed... it also makes it hard to sell partially disassembled stock coil overs.

That's why I said "shocks and springs", because they aren't coil overs. Some of the vendors offer them assembled though, so you can't complain too much about it.

Yes some companies do offer them assembled, however toytec gives both options and many people opt for the cheaper setup due to cost. It makes no sense to me to put brand new shocks and springs on a set of tophats with bushings that have 100k on them. plus it adds a ton of time to a somewhat simple job.

Im not buying parts I only install them, hence my complaints :smash:. BUT the reality is i'll install whatever the customer brings me.

I think we all wish everyone sold complete C/O's or by the piece.... Toyota does the same thing (parts by each piece) unless you buy the TRD Suspension (it comes complete).

I checked to mounting plate, nuts, spacers, and bushings from Camelback yesterday...total price was 166.00 and change not counting shipping!

If they are around the $1000 price point it would be a no brainer. The Icons would be future proofed as well. I'm concerned on what happens when the winch bumper comes along and the 6112s can't accommodate that.

Blah sorry guys, had thought I send the whole reply on my tablet.

So Bilstein will be shipping the tundra coilovers to dealers end of next week, then the following week will be the 2010+ 4runner / fj kits. Tacoma is right behind that, then the 03-09 runners will be up.

We should be posting all the GB info Monday :cheer2:

Seems to me this Canadian listing is way overpriced!

Well it is in Canadian Dollars... couple hundred in exchange rate alone, who knows what other premiums they pay. I know our price reflects freight costs to the retailer, so essentially we pay shipping twice.

The suspense is killing me!
I used to hear it from an coworker that getting stuff in the states is much cheaper, he would stock up on all kinds of stuff when he was consulting down here. That just sucks!
IAmTodd why do you have doubts about the extra weight with the winch/bumper?
