Bilstein Lift Mystery

Sent my stock 07 V6 Sport to the shop to get Bilstein 5100s in front and rear along with a Daystar 1.5 rear spacers. Had them set the fronts to 2.5 to get the 2.5/1.5 look, well when I went to pick it up the front was jacked to the sky and I could not figure out a reason why it would be. I have stock springs all around. It had to be 4-5 inches of lift in the front. The guys at this shop are very reputable and know what they are doing, and they all agreed with me it was too high in the front and that I only go one notch down to make it level. So I had them do just that, came back and it looked better then it was before, still higher than I want in the front but it will do. I'm just going crazy trying to figure out why that could have happened in the front, really would like some feedback..

They probably installed the front shock seats upside down. You should be pretty level with max and a 1.5" spacer in the rear. I am running FJ's on all 4 and Billies @ max and a 1.5" in the rear and it sits pretty level.

can you take a picture of the struts? Are you positive its stock coils?

Looks good as it is if you ask me, what size tires do you have?

Yup that's upside down

They maybe reputable, but they can't read instructions. The spring seat is upside down and needs to be reversed to be safe.

And since they are dis-assembling it, make sure the bushings and washers are correct on the top mount too

It seems like people using bilstein 2.5 up front and daystar 1.5 in back are getting an overall higher lift than those just using the daystar 2.5/1.5 kit.

Can anyone comment on this?

Sent it back today for them to fix it. Looks a whole lot better now, they did the right thing and gave me back the money that I paid to have it lowered down the first time.

--What setting are your bilsteins on?
--Can you link me to where you purchased the Daystar 1.5 rear? I can't find it anywhere.
