I picked up my TRD Box special today in kansas city! $573 + tax.

I had to provide a VIN for an FJ. (Thanks Google!)

Now for rear spring selection... (2005 V8 SR5, all stock so far.)

I ordered from Bosch Toyota South out of Boston. It probably took a week or so to ship after I provided an FJ Trail VIN to them, which they then had to verify with Toyota Corporate.
 
Just placed an order with my local dealership, they called back requesting vin, which i skimmed off CL. Parts should be in next week, hope it works out. 573$ no tax/shipping.

That is an Evo you’re hiding, up on jack stands right?

My shocks arrived yesterday and I picked them up.
Placed order on 03/05/18 arrived on 03/15/18
May not get around to installing them until next weekend.
 
I received and installed mine yesterday. Rides very nice! Outstanding kit for the money. It raised the front exactly an inch per my before/after measurements. The ride is slightly firmer than stock yet somehow smoother. Super pleased.

As a side note, I have a second kit on hand that is for sale due to some impatience when waiting for my first kit to ship. See the for sale section or PM me if interested.

Yes it is! New pads, rotors, and tires for the rims! moneypit!
 
I'm so torn on what to do by either ordering these or getting 5100's. I'd ideally like more of a lift than what this offers but I also know this is a great deal. What is max achievable front lift with this kit? I assume these have multi position perches like the 5100's? If not, what sprigs would people recommend to get about a 2.0" total lift?

I have the Toytec top plate spacers installed with mine, which combined with the TRD spring give a measured 2" lift over stock in the front. My hub center to fender measurements are the same front to rear with stock rear springs. I have a set of the 1" Eibach rear springs on order to add a little bit of rake back.

It sounds like maybe this kit and spacers or the new Dobinsons springs might be for you. You can’t beat the price and the 6112 is much heftier than the 5100. Just my thoughts. Can’t be the price!
 
just some food for thoughts...

It appears like 4Runner TRD Pro comes with 13" length springs while this kit (i.e. for FJ Cruiser) comes with 14" springs. I wonder how this difference will impact the ride and handling. Also the suspension travel difference as well.
 
I've considered installing the TX Baja 3"x14" 650# opposed to our 3"x13" 600# in our kit. I've been lurking the TW forum, stock form they have approximately 1.75" to 2" of lift without the Toytec perch spacer. Most of those guys upgrade to the perch spacer to gain that 3"ish total of lift. Kings offer a 3"x 14" 650# as well but they cost a tad more than the TRD Baja springs. I'm just not sure of the ride quality a 1" taller spring @650# rating will ride on stock front end 4Rs. There is also the 6112 valving factor for FJs which are ~400# lighter than our 4R. I've read more of our guys running 650/700# adjustable CO setups with front bumpers and other weighted accessories. We can wait for Mike to complete the testing of the 2" springs as well but they won't be available for sale until May. ohhhhh the mod options we have as Toyota owners, I Love It!
