Bilstein TRD Pro suspension kit on sale PTR13-35140

What sliders are those?

Fake "sliders". They are just the NFab "Predator" steps that Toyota put on. However, the actual steps are removable. Pulled off the steps to see how they looked. Not real sliders as they don't bolt to the frame, but they don't look terrible, and it's something until I get the real thing

You have the exact same setup as I do, I like how yours turned out and I’m nervous about adding the front spacer and rear coils for a 2.25/1.5” lift now

Im curious how that would look. I wouldn't mind going a little higher, but I wasn't sure how well the 265s would fill the wheel wells.

Just finished installing the entire kit on my 2010 SR5 4x4. I’m a novice but consider myself fairly handy. It took me about 5.5 hrs total time. Took it for an alignment soon after and all feels right. No new top hats as mine were still in good condition after assessing. Left the retainer rings as installed for the front coils. Driver:top and passenger:lower I don’t have KDSS so the reservoir attached easily since I had the threaded hole. I followed the YouTube video for no spring compressor install and the pdf someone shared a few pages back. Thanks for everyone’s input and info. All is good in my T4R hood.

Small update since this is my daily driver and I've had the car pretty much stock since day 1. Night and day difference in feel and handling. Small bump compliance on the city streets is very good, don't get a lot of the chatter as stock. Brake jack is basically gone, which is great. Cornering and leaning is so much more fluid, the control is amazing compared to stock. I don't know why I waited so long to upgrade but patience is a virtue when I ended up getting this kit. Gotta take it off road soon and see how that feels and will look to get some new wheels in the future.

I've had mine in the garage for a couple weeks now to go on the wife's 2015, and after the install on Saturday I don't know why I waited so long. No spring compressor method took right at 4 hours total for front and rear, with a tire rotation. Night and day difference compared to stock.

I installed with the Toytec spring spacer, front looks to have settled at 2.25" after driving on it for the weekend, putting it perfectly level. Have a set of TRD Forged rock warrior style wheels to go on next week along with new tires, can't wait to get it wrapped up.

Not sure if I missed the answer to this question, but will we need the sway bar relocation kit to accommodate the larger diameter strut body of this kit?

You also have the SR5 like me, there's nothing else you need to do besides the swap.

Seems like this was a busy weekend for a lot of us. I also installed mine on a 2017 SR5 premium. From the time I walked into the garage and started unpacking the parts and laying out tools till I was done at my kitchen table with everything put away was 5 hours. I followed the no spring compressor method and the Toyota pdf. it went very smooth. I have done a lot of suspension installs on cars before, but this was my first truck. It was awesome to not have to mess with spring compressors. In fact I didn't even use the air tools at all. Pdf was key for torque specs. Alignment will happen soon, but as it sits now the ride is great and nose dive is also reduced. No pulling and I went over a large speed bump at 25 mph and it was very controlled. Much much better than stock. I will say that the front lift is 1 1/4- 1 1/2" based on my initial measurements. We'll see how that settles over time and if alignment affects it. I will post pics this weekend if folks care to see. If some of you at eon the fence about doing the work yourself and you have turned a wrench before, I wouldn't worry. Just look over the pdf list of tools needed and if you have all that, you'll be fine. If anyone has questions about install, feel free to pm me. happy to help.

Thank you for confirming!

I just ordered the kit along with the Wheeler's Offroad/Daystar Coil Isolator and Wheeler's 3/8" Strut Top Plate Spacer. If my research is correct, it should provide a total 2.68" lift.

I'll post up the final result after install.

Installed the rears today since I have KDSS I purchased the clamp from 4wheel parts. Anyone else out there use this clamp? Did I install the Reservoir right?

The reservoir should be a bit farther down so it's resting on the circlip. If I remember correctly from installing mine, there should be a grove on the inside of the clamp.

Just pulled the trigger on these from Frank Motors on eBay. Even though I am local to Frank in San Diego, it would’ve been $570 to pick up. I ended up getting them for $530 shipped with the coupon code on eBay right now which is 15% off. The code is “PMAY4TH” and it ends tonight at 7:00 PM PST.

...now to see if a buddy can help with the install. Or if anyone has any recommended installers with KDSS in San Diego, let me know!

Check out The Truck Shop in Miramar. Highly recommend.

Dropped my baby off this morning for the installation. By this afternoon, I should be a very happy camper.
