Viper Motorsports in Weatherford. Ask for Tanner Aldridge. He is doing mine at the end of the month. He did my first lift, my best friends, cousin, coworker and my older brother. I live in Houston now and I am driving up there for it.

Try Big Snatch Off-road in Fredericksburg. I have a lot of friends that I use to work with get their shit done there. They all have jeeps but it’s just the install you want so it might be worth calling.

Tandem does all of my work from wiring, long travel, roof racks and all sorts of things. I can't be trusted with a power tool :nod::biggrin1:

Call Tandem at 817-633-3225. I'd ask for Alex or Pablo. They'll get you a quote and square you away! I'd recommend getting in line ASAP. They get backlogged with the amount of trucks coming through, ALL TOYOTA!

So happy with the upgrade. It is better mannered. Smoother through turns and better on the highway by a mile. I have not taken it off-road, but I imagine I am going to be delighted. Now if you are on the fence, just do it. It is totally worth it! :reddance:

I have it sitting in my garage for the last 2 weeks. Need to find either time to install it or taking it to a good shop. A dealer would charge me about 3 - 4 hours + alignment...

Were you out of alignment by a lot? The guy who did my install said I didn't really need to do an alignment because it was only a 1" lift and when he test drove it, it was straight and steady.

That's really good pricing for the install. My XREAS suspension is shot and I'm looking for replacement options. Here in Denver I called a dealership and two independent shops and all have quoted me book time of 6.5 hrs of labor. Their labor rates are $140 at the dealer and $135/$125 at the indy shops, so the cheapest quote has been $800.

Funny you should mention this. I know its good practice to get an alignment after doing suspension work, but mine rides great after the install. tracks straight and no weird pulls or wandering. I marked the cams so they were right where the factory had them once I was done. I am sure toe/camber/caster changed a little with the 1.25" measured rise on mine, but I don't know if that was significant enough to warrant an alignment. Oh well, I have an apt on Thursday morning to get it aligned. Better safe than sorry I guess.

I asked them to regardless and they said it was enough out of an alignment to get one. Not too bad though. I way very happy with the service. Drives like a dream now.

i was really surprised as other places where quoting me between $800-$2000.

That's the flat rate system for you. You probably found a shop decent enough to charge you actuals, rather than flat rate. Seems like suspension installation is very profitable and a cash cow for some shops as they charge you book time, but the work can really be done in half the time.

I have a couple more shops that I'm going to call tomorrow and get estimates. If the independent shops are the same price as the dealer, I'll probably go with the dealer. At at least I'll have a single throat to choke if something goes wrong with the parts and installation.
