I can't remember exactly, but somewhere I read to install these brackets with the reservoirs angled slightly away from the frame, not tucked into it like that. Was it due to the rear link underneath it possibly coming up and hitting it? I'd make sure. I'll go look at mine later too. Can't remember exactly, but seeing yours like that threw a red flag in my head.

Anyone with KDSS equipped 4R notice any difference in the stiffness/compliance with this kit VS stock suspension? Not really concerned with nose dive, more just how it handles potholes/manholes and rough roads.

It's definitely stiffer than stock. Not as stiff as I thought it was going to be with 600 lb coils up front though. But I did put them on at the same time as upgrading to C rated tires and putting OME 895s in the rear soooooooooo I can only talk about the front end and the tires are probably contributing too, sorry!

Please let me know; take a pic if possible.

THANKS

That reservoir looks awfully close to the frame - could bend the bracket and/or dent the reservoir with any wiggle from the shock tower.

And it looks like the reservoir can slide downward; if it does, it'll stop at the ring (top protruding part).

That bracket is scary, with the thought that it can rotate towards the tires and causing all kinds of damage. Is there some kind of rubber on the insides of those brackets?

Just my 2 cents.

Thank you all for the great feedback and for the mounting bracket picture.

I mounted the rings (I thought since I don’t use the Toyota bracket I should keep the rings out) - wiser advise taken in consideration [emoji4] and relocate the reservoir.

The reservoirs are parallel with the shocks but since I worked leaving the tires on, it appears they are not. I will make it pretty in the weekend when I will have time to take the tires off.

The brackets are pretty sturdy (I thought they are flimsy too when I ordered it). Trey don’t move even without a rubber gasket inside (I had the same concern).

Did they give you the quote?

FYI - $650 for install, alignment and headlight leveling. I get it back tomorrow. They have a reputation for being really honest and doing good work. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Hoping I found my new go-to mechanic for the 4R. (The Audi will always go to NGP, though. :))

When I pulled up, there was some DB with a beat-to-crap Pontiac and some crappy jail house tattoos doing burnouts right in front of their lot. I thought it was one of their mechanics and was about to throw it in reverse and never go back. Then the guy peels wheels up the street (practically losing his rear bumper in the process). One of the actual mechanics from Graf's comes out shaking his head and politely says "guess that guy had a bit too much coffee this morning ". We were both relieved he wasn't headed to Graf's!

I think is not bad considering the included alignment and headlight adjustment. I'll keep this shop in mind (thought it's far from me).

I went with the Toytec Baja Spacer and Toytec Superflex rear springs for 2” all around.

REALLY noticable improvement in all around ride quality. Feels solid, planted, and not rough at all. If anything the stiffness feel better on rough roads than stock did.

Does anyone know if this kit is still a available anywhere at this price and will it fit a 2018 TRD off road premium?

Ebay is likely your only chance at this point and it will probably cost more now as well.

Several members including myself with 2018’s have installed and posted in this thread about it, it’s probably several pages ago at this point but all the information is there. The kit fits fine

Bottle Jack post lift

What bottle jack are you using after the lift?
The OEM jack goes up to 19” and it barely lifts the truck to change the tires after the lift. I tried to find something over 19” without success...

I use a steel low profile 3 ton jack from Harbor Freight. I did a lot of "research" on them and it appears to be a very universally liked jack. I also put on a crossbeam that allows for more even distribution of the weight and gives an additional 2-7" of lift. I was out about $120 for both the jack and additional cross beam.

What are you doing if you have a flat on the road? Do you carry the floor jack with you all the time?

I plan on just using some 2x10x10" boards that are in my repair kit. On dirt you might need them anyway under a jack to get a stable base, so if you have 2, then that gives you 4" more of lift for the OEM jack.
