Bilstein's act of kindness

I was in Poway, Calif. to run some errands after work recently and stopped in a taco shop. A person walked in and asked about the owner of the 4Runner sitting out front. He asked about year, model, and features (2013, Trail with KDSS). I was wondering if he had hit me or what was going on at this point. He indicated that he worked at Bilstein just up the road and they were looking for the same model/year/features to check fitment of different shocks. He gave me his card and said they would take care of me with product for the opportunity.
I am now driving on 6112's up front (height levled) and 5160's in back complete with an alignment. I was on stock shocks, so the upgrade has been amazing. Nothing like this have ever happened to me so I just wanted to pass along. The folks at Bilstein are working hard to design and develop great products and speading shock love.

There must be more to the story. Was it just for fitment to a KDSS-equipped 4R? Do you send them a monthly report? Do you go back for a checkup?
