I originally got it to get rid of sag when completely loaded or towing. I took it out when I did the icon setup since I went to the heaviest springs. It has compensated where the airbags used to be necessary. I no longer have it installed and is currently sitting in a box of extra parts.

Thats what I figured you used it for (towing/loaded).
I am thinking about going with a similar version of your suspension, not quite as intense though.
Do you find the heavy springs make the ride stiffer though? I know when I did an "add a leaf" on my tacoma, the ride stiffened up.
So basically, are you happy with your ride quality, loaded and not? still nice and smooth on the road and bumps?

I love the way mine rides and wouldn't change a thing but I have tons of heavy armor and run very full. ymmv.

Thanks for sharing your trip with us. Moab is definitely one of my favorite places in the country. Did you end up running Hell's Revenge? That and Golden Spike have to be my favorites.

I decided to come back to do all the ones I want. I did not get to do Hell's revenge since the whole fam came. I could only get away for two of the five days without taking everyone. We mixed in some park runs, sight seeing and I got to do two more intense runs so was limited to Cliff Hanger and Golden Spike. I'm coming back to run man style: camp and run hard! Still need to do so much! So glad I swapped out Kane Creek for Golden Spike. That was out of this world. Want to run Moab Rim with someone who has done it before. Also, Behind the Rocks is on my to do list.

Yea, you definitely can't do everything in Moab in one trip. Oh well, it gives you plenty to look forward to.
I am glad you changed your Kane Creek run. Goldenrod Spike is soooooo much better. As far as Moab Rim, you could do it on your own. It is an out and back trail and it is hard to get lost. The two main obstacles (Devil's Crack and Z-Turn) are right at the beginning. No problem with my Taco with rear locker on 33's. There is a fun hike option at the turnaround point and a sand hill you can attempt. Behind the Rocks has some challenges, all with bypasses. Really anywhere you are at in Moab is a good time.

Two of my favorites in Moab. I love taking experienced folks on BTR because nearly all the major obstacles are descents. It scares the crap out of a lot of people who will go up virtually anything. I'm in Crested Butte till mid to late October and plan on hitting Moab in early October before I head back to Dallas for the winter. You're more than welcome to join me since I'll probably do both of those runs on the trip.
