Damn it Ben..... you're a bad influence :hail:
How did your RCI skids hold up? Thinking about getting some.
You are going to love the sliders. Saved my bacon more than once on that trip... Took the full weight of the truck a number of times... no dents or body damage at all due to the heavy gauge of these. Others on the trip had lighter duty sliders and they received body damage due to the sliders moving under full impact. Every bit of armor is worth it on my rig. I think I tested everything I've got! :thumb3:
How did the camera system work for self spotting?
Meant to try to meet up (I'm nearby Moab) to check out that camera system, but work got in the way. I'm running a single front 120 degree camera and the lense is pitted to the point I need to replace it, and was eyeing a similar (most likely the same, rebranded system) from Boyo.

They did what they are supposed to do. However, the t-case skid is the weak link. I have had to space it down twice due to it hanging lower over the exhaust and getting bashed. It was bashed up to where I started getting an exhaust vibration. A couple washers and I'm good but I may have a more beefy t-case skid fabbed up to make sure I don't have worry about that. Well worth the investment. Otherwise, I'd have destroyed the truck and/or not been able to run the rocks the way I did. You can't really do any rock crawling without skids. RCI, Budbuilt and Shrockworks all make high quality skids. You'd most likely be happy with any of those sets.
Quick question Ben, did you get your RCI's powder coated or did you paint them yourself?
I just received mine but they are bare metal so I have to decide what to do before they go up there.
Thanks.
Stop it already, those pics are making me cry (out of pure joy)! :cry2:
Awesome photos once again...thanks!
Now....got....to....get....out....soon....lol.
Where was that water fall with the house (?) overlooking it? I have been around that area a few times but don't remember that. Looks awesome. We are going to the Pagosa Springs area next weekend and then have a Silverton/Ouray trip planned in late September. I can't wait for either!
Pretty sure that is on black bear pass.
