Congrats on T4R of July! Your rig is looking pretty awesome! Really like how you have put it togther. Keep it up.

Great build. I have a question regarding your sliders. Did you cut/trim the stock LE rocker paneling, or did you remove it altogether? I'm trying to determine if the way your sliders are designed gives you more clearance over sliders designed to be used with the stock TE trim. Thanks.

The LE trim is removed altogether and it is more clearance than if I had the trail trim on there. It is designed for max clearance and max protection. There isn't anything like them on the market. Scroll back through the pics I posted of Moab. My entire rig was balanced on the driver slider. No damage to truck or slider besides the powder coat scratch the was easily spray painted out. They are heavy though. I think after a few folks saw them at summit they ordered them up. These were designed so that all you have to do is remove the trim/skirts and the bold on with u-bolts around the frame. Can't recommend them enough.

Thanks for the response, this was helpful. I had previously checked their website and didn't see anything so figured they may have been a one-off, not a production piece. I'll give them a call for more details.

Yeah. Website doesn't have any of the production 5th gen stuff on it right now. Email is probably the fastest way to contact Luke. If you call them, you'll probably need to leave a message anyway. Email is [email protected].

Rubicon Trail. Didn't run the 4runner this time, but probably next time. Couple things I want to finish on the runner before I do the con in it. Looked out for all the 4runners I could find. Great 1st gens but I didn't see any of the other gens this trips. Lots of broken Heeps though... I made sure I waived at them all... as I passed them.

No trail damage other than I think it is time for a new roof rack since mine decided to shatter at mile marker 0.1. Oops.

Here is my White '93 FZJ80 on a couple good spots.

Wow...another great looking off-road adventure with terrific pics once again!

How far down did you pressure the tires at to get through that gnarly section of rock?

I was at 18 for the whole trip. I didn't want to go too far down so have up some traction for a little clearance. That wasn't even the knarly section. Nobody got pics of me in little slouce or on some of the tight squeezes on big slouce. My son wasn't wanting to take as many pics as he did in Moab. Wish I got pics of all the broken heeps on 37s shaking their heads as I sauntered through unharmed in my "wagon." Lol

Awesome build. Im jealous of your dual rig set up and the opportunities you've had to hit trails in CO and UT. I havent been on Rubicon yet this season and am dying to go once I get my 3rd gen up to par again. Let me know if you do any trails up in this area, would be fun to get a group together.

I do head up there frequently as I live in the Sacramento area. Tahoe is not quite as much my backyard as yours, but pretty close! The con is pretty busy right now so hope to get a run in again when it is a little slower. Usually enter at Loon lake as it is closer to me. Thanks for the kind words!

Told Aaron about it, but we're doing a Rubicon run 9/13~9/14. We've been discussing it in my build thread over on MUD. Hopefully you can make it. 4Runner is looking great Ben, but I think you know which one I'm partial to :)
