black 06-09 headlights

hey guys, i found these blacked out headlights for 06-09, but i dont know about the quality.

anyone want to try these? my lights are already done so i cant get these.

Hmm these are the first aftermarket headlights I've ever seen for the 06-09 now you have me curious. To bad I'm saving up for rims and toytec :/

OEM is better. I bought a pair of eagle eyes aftermarket headlights to do my retrofit. I wish I had spent the extra coin for parts from Toyota. They aren't bad though. Not sure about these ones.

Yes it's for a pair, if you click to go to their website it says it's the price for 1 pair, it's plug and play, and they come with no installation instructions (pretty easy to figure out though). The picture looks cheesy like an animation, I wish they had an actual picture of these on the rig.

Definitely a good option, but all they are is painted housings, not sure they're worth the money

It would seem the black housings would greatly reduce the output light? Anyone actually used or compared these 4runner versions in a real installation & not just on a display? Dumb idea for night driving or not?

It may reduce the High beam output, but the low beam is a projector so it doesn't require a reflector to disperse the light.

Nothing is reduce, only painted part on the housing is the shroud.

I've been eyeballing these, and may give them a try. When I bought my truck a year ago, the headlight housings were full of moisture. I took them out and dried them, then resealed the edges with some very nasty stuff. I don't want to attempt the oven method of taking them apart, so for me the aftermarket ones will be the way to go.

Has anyone actually used these? I'm most curious about the quality of the projector and bowl ... There could be a huge difference in actual light output and quality vs. OEM. Or these could be just fine.

Screw it, I'll be the guinea pig - I just bought a set. They are due in next Tuesday. I'll take pics and post them up along my impressions.

No, there is no reduction, if you look at my pic, the housing is painted, but the reflector around the high beam bulb is not painted and functions as normal
