Black Badge Overlays

I went the plasti dip route for the side badges that I figured I'd have trouble finding. They came out really good. Did about 6 coats. Little time consuming picking out between the smaller letters but pretty good looking. I'll use the overlays for the rest of the vehicle now.

Yea that's the route I've been leaning towards too. Cheers!

I bought a couple cans of plasti dip and did all the badges, the door handles and the chrome on my bumpers, looks great, now for the luggage rack. trying to dechrome without having to spend an arm and leg.

Let me know how the luggage rack goes, I'll probable do the same. I'm between wrapping or plasti-dipping the the hood scoop bezel. I plan on going with the Pro look on the front end so I'll only have the rear logo and lettering to purchase the overlay for.. I'm going to wrap the front and back bumper valance. Little by little she coming along.

Has anyone seen black overlays for the TRD Off Road side badge? I've found all the others online varying in price but no "Off Road" anywhere. Just want to see if they look any better than the SR5 overlay before going the plasti-dip route. Thanks!!

I just ordered the set to overlay my 2018 4Runner sr5 any tips or tricks to doing this other than cleaning with alcohol before installing? Do they line up and go on easy? Hate to screw them up for $99

I "installed" them. Clean surface. Should be nice and warm in your world. Press them on. You won't have a problem.

I'm not sure I understand this comment. Are people getting their overlays stolen off their T4Rs?

I bought the noxlux overlays almost a year ago when I got my T4R.

I'm a husband, father of 4, and active duty Army. If I had the free time to use plasti-dip (correctly), I would've. But what happens when you get older, time becomes way more valuable than when I was in my 20's. So for me, $100 is a lot more palatable when my family deserves my time after work and on the weekends.

Lastly, the overlays are holding up way better than what I've seen from dip. Especially to rock chips, pressure washers, etc...

Just my perspective on this topic,

I like mine

64 dollars delivered with one of those 20 percent off eBay coupons. They look great. I have plasti-dipped before and it’s nice and it’s cheaper but These overlays are quick and easy.

I got my set from noxlux.com. Not sure who Toyota gets them from. I do knot some Toyota dealerships are dipping them at the dealership. There's a YT channel of a dealership and discuss this as an option.

that would be messed up if they put Black Overlays on the invoice and actually dipped them. lol haha

Went to go order mine...they no longer offer them...I guess I will call me dealer now...ugh.
