Black corner / parking lights

Howdy,

I(with a ton of help from a friend...Ok, my friend mostly did it) recently did a HID headlight retrofit and am very happy with it. However, Id like to get some corner/parking lights that match the black housing as well as color of the light output. My goal for the truck is to remove all of the chrome, so I am looking for a black backed corner, and not just a clear one. I also don't want to use nightshade or anything like that. I want the black color coming from the inside of the housing, and not an external lens paint.

My first preference would be to just open up my existing parking lights and paint them black to match the headlights, but my understanding is that it is difficult to bake the housing since it is all thin plastic and will likely just melt.

As for the light, the stock bulbs are super yellow and trashy looking. I imagine I need to get some LED replacements?

What have others done? What replacement bulb did you use?

I retrofitted my corners with 7443 bulbs, so I have big amber LEDs in there.
I'd also like to know how well they would light up with the reflector painted. Having it painted with a metallic color and clear coat would help make it more reflective than- say- black. But not sure if I would be happy with the output, and it's a lot of work to end up not liking it.
That said, these retrofitted 96-98 corners are for sale if anyone is interested- message me.
