Black Friday - Worth the wait for tires?

Bought some SCS wheels and now need tires to go on them. Could wait until Black Friday but don't know if the tire specials are any better then. Pretty much set on BFG All Terrain KO2 load C 285/70r17. But might consider something else if the price is right. Not many options in C load and like the BFG AT KO2 weight of 51 lbs.

Currently 4wheel parts is offering $50 off and no tax on K02s. Price is same as Discount Tire ($230) but the no tax and $50 off makes it a better price at 4wheel Parts. Seems like a good price?

I would wait and see what Discount Tire offers, I wouldn't mess with 4 wheel parts, they have some shady practices and I've had bad experiences with them. Discount Tires will def have some better deals around black friday
 
Print out the offer from 4WheelParts and take it to Discount Tire. They will match it.

I picked up 275/70 KO2s a few months ago and did this without any issue. They didn't charge tax on the tires, but they did on the labor, which was understandable.

If that's the tire your set on try to find new takeoffs from a JL Rubicon. They are all over Craigslist.
 
The last time I bought tires from 4wheel parts, i was told they would match a price. I came out of there with a 4 page invoice and paid $200 more than what we had agreed.
Not one person could make sense of the invoice when I went back in. All I cared about was the visa receipt in my hand, but they all took a crack at explaining their multi-page nonsense to me, mr. Layman.

It took me more than an hour to get the difference refunded.

The older I get, the more time becomes the most valuable thing to me (hold on, I’m only 40).
That being said, I won’t waste my time in there again, fighting to get what I was quoted.

I know everyone hates Stealerships but I do believe they are running their buy 3 get 1 for a $1 promotion. Pretty much the only time they are any near correct on their pricing.
 
Currently waiting for a good deal on a set of 5 Coopers... Thinking black friday may be the trick, but who knows.
 
IF Discount Tires has the tires you want in their eBay listings, one of the best deals is when DT marks their tires down 10% AND there is a 15% off eBay coupon (usually up to $100 off) that day. It's hard to find the day when both happen, but it sure feels good when you do.

DT also used to occasionally have a "$100 off a tire or wheel purchase of $450 or more" on eBay. I bought two pairs of KO2's this way. Keep your watch lists updated and your eyes open...

I’d wait for discount tires 100 dollar off sale....not sure if they will offer it for Black Friday but they do offer it a few times a year

Discount Tire has always had up to $100 off for black friday plus an extra $60 off if you apply/use their credit card. Same for other major holidays. I always plan my tire purchases accordingly. This past labor day was the first time I saw them offer just 10% off instead. 4WP seems to get a pretty bad rap but I have personally never any issues with my few purchases; my Smittybilt XL RTT was sub $900 OTD with no drama. They run some killer 12 days of Christmas sales and no sales tax is a huge savings around here (8.25%). As was suggested, get them to print you a quote and have DT match it.

This is what I did... Plus they were running a $70 mail I'm rebate on the good year kevlars I bought at the time. If I'm not mistaken DT does this twice a year.
