Black JDM Headlights......who all has them?

I wanted to see who all had the 4th Gen black headlights, what brands you guys had, any issues with aiming and over all satisfaction with them. If you want to post pics of them, that would be cool too. Thanks.

ME! Mine is 100% true JDM one from Japan...

I'd stick with the Toyota JDM versions. You'll have to reaim them for US roads but I've heard the beam pattern is better than the 3rd party aftermarket versions.

I have the aftermarket ones. Fit is good but beam pattern sucks. Save some money and buy the real ones or better yet just do them yourself.

I have the JDM replicas from Burtman. No fitment issues. Yeah, the beam was a little screwy, but just took a lot of turning of those knobs (and sore fingers) to get it where it's very acceptable.

I have noticed at night with the lights on (and you're outside of the car) that the headlight plastic has some haziness or crazing. Obviously don't notice it while inside the car, just when you're outside and take a glance at the headlights. Most noticeable from the side. Instead of clear plastic (or whatever they're made of), the plastic looks crazed or almost like a very thin film of stuff on the lens surface is cracked or peeling. I haven't tried the Novus plastic scratch remover yet, but that's next.

I believe it was 450 degrees for 10 mins. Although, I'd do a search and follow the directions. I followed it and everything was fine.

You put it together by baking them a second time.

What silicone did you use to seal it up again? What paint did you use for the inside?

I have the oem japanese headlights...with HID's...a little reaiming and they have been great!

Try Krylon Fusion. I've read that many who has painted their Taco headlights say it works well with plastic and had great results.
