Hi everyone,
This past weekend I spent the nice day fixing the air mix servo on my 2004 with 200,00 which had failed and was giving me the loud buzzing under the dash. I had to drill a hole in the blower motor casing in order to get that screw in the top right out which was a pain but it was doable. So I thought I was all good to go once I installed the new part. And then I turned on my car after plugging everything back up only to discover that there was no data at all going to my control panel. Also, my rear windshield wiper doesn't seem to be working? Needless to say that was frustrating after spending a couple of hours fixing the servo.
I heard some kind of clicking sound a couple of times and some data flashed on the panel for a second but then would turn off again. After doing that a couple times it went out completely. I double checked all the connections but everything is hooked up and took it to a mechanic to see if he could see anything that I had missed. Was hoping it was a blown fuse but he couldn't find anything.
So I bought a new control panel on Ebay for 75 bucks and swapped that out but that didn't do anything. I've read on this forum that the HVAC control module (I've also seen it called the Air conditioning amplifier) can be the culprit so I've ordered one of those on Ebay and am going to see if that does it but as I wait I wanted to see if anyone else has had this problem. There are only a couple of threads on this site on a blank control panel and none of them seemed to be resolved.
I'm really hoping this isn't some kind of bigger electrical issue. All of my other lights, blinkers, wipers, are working fine. But no lights or options for anything on the control panel except for the clock which I can still set. So I've got no control over the fan or any other type of heat or air conditioning.
Any thoughts?
