wow man, you do some sick work!! Just when I thought you couldn't possibly top yourself, you go and do it again! That is one 'triple awesome' display, between the two pods, the bank of switches, and the Hilux FMU! That has got to be the sickest display/control/info panel I have seen in a 4Runner or just about any vehicle, hands down!

Again, awesome work, Ervin! Glad you're part of the 3rd gen crowd I can't wait to see what else you do!

I really like how everything else turned out, It's nice that I can monitor how fast the voltage drops as soon as I turn everything on at once...Not to mention the winch. The whole setup is really nice, another addition I can truly appreciate.

You really have a knack for creating awesome DIY mods for your 4runner.

I guess a tint strip would do the trick to replace your OEM sunshades but why stop there? How about relocating your OEM sun shade mounts and holder clips right below your switch pods and then hack the shades (extend the width) to match the bottom of the pods with the left over fiberglass and cover material?

Heck your significant other on the passenger side still wants that sunshade with a mirror and lights, correct? Why lose that functionality? :rockthrow:

Your rig is turing into a "pimp my ride" episode, but in a clean way that I like! :bravo:

Wow...you've just given me a great idea there, something that I've obviously
overlooked and never thought of....That might just be my next project.
Although my passenger visor didn't come with the light on the mirror, it's defiitely something I can incorporate in the process.

I've gotta say up front that I'm a minimalist when it comes to switches and the general layout of the dashboard/controls, so this mod doesn't really do it for me, BUT...

I can 100% appreciate the creativity, time & thought, and skill that went into creating this modification. Like I've always said, you are truly an artist.

I always know when you're about to drop a "Mod Bomb" because you come sniffing around the forum, leaving comments on threads here and there.... ... then all of a sudden, BOOM!!! Mod bomb.

Those switches turned out awesome I like that looks real good. Also the whole winch in winch out is to simply get rid of the external remote and pretty much have that remote hard wired into the truck?? If so I am really interested in doing something like that for my winch in the future looks so clean. Also just curious why did you move the rear window switch up there since it already has a OEM home in the center?? Once again Ervin amazing 4Runner I would love to just copy and paste your truck in my driveway hahahahahaha

The winch in-cab switch does not bypass the use of the remote plug-in controller, it's just an option to operate the winch more cozily in the comfort of your seat, sure you can just extend the cable controller inside the cab from the control box, but wouldn't having a simple and readily accesible controller within your reach be a better solution? I've never winched alone but this'll come in real handy when the time comes.

When I did the 99 center console cup holder mod, I relocated the back window switch under the tray location seen in the pic below..See the orientation of the up & down buttons, it's inverted in relation to the window operation just to keep the text's up and legible. I also don't have the illumination for that function so it's alot harder to read from that distance in the dark and push the correct button.

Nice work I like that idea to use the remote and the switches. And for sure I will let you know next time I'm down hopefully in the summer time I will take some time off and come visit again, and this time we will go wheeling
