So I replaced my 20 yr old front cat back in October 2018 cause the flange was getting thin and wanted a better seal on gasket, I got a Walker. The other day this thing just blew apart and fell out onto the highway ripping the 02 plug with it. I got a little warning, started getting loud right before it fell off, thought it was muffler or something, then bang. But I replaced my whole exhaust system last year.....
Looking at the Walker cat, the metal is very thin and not surprised this thing broke apart. Its under a 5 yr warranty, but this thing is crap. Luckily I still had my 20 yr old cat laying around, so I put it back on and all is good. I'm thinking of straight piping out the cat/cats cause my state of Mass-holea doesn't smog after 14 yrs old.
Laid next to the broken garbage Walker is my old original cat that I put back in. I guess I could sell my new warranty replacement and just keep the old one in and find another old oem one if this one goes bad.
