ok a couple of things here, first off the bulbs are different from the corner marker lights and the turn signals, so no you cant just switch the buld and conector, you need to pull the wires and pins out of the sockets on both and swap them(if they are the same pin size, if not then its a cut and splice job). secondly the factory turn signals wont work as a "light", be it fog or driving, the lens is too fluted and is of the "flood" style, and the reflector is nothing more than a flat silver plastic panel, it wont reflect hardly any light. you would have to find some sort of aftermarket light that would be an exact fit(style and mounts) to your factory turn signals, and i dont know of anyone who makes that. if you ask me i would just go pony up the cash and buy a set of aftermarket bulbs like some PIAAs or Hellas and swap out your stock headlight bulbs. it makes a hug difference. if you are able to drive around now with your high beams on then you might have a poor ground and or bad bulbs. what year is your runner, do you have the 99-02 head lamps in it? if not id suggest doing that up grade also. if you are asking this question you shouldnt be messing around with your wiring, you will screw it up. just leave your turn signals as they are and your marker lights as they are. and if putting new bulbs in your head lamps doesnt fix anything then go buy a nice set of PIAA driving lights and mount them in behind your grill or in your bumper and use those(i say PIAA cause even a stupid-**** can hook up their stuff, they make some of the best lights on the market and by far the EASIEST wiring, its all plug and play, all you have to do is hook up to power and ground. -if you cant find a power source and a ground source with in 12" of each other you should just stop driving).
