Aftermarket alarm probably or one of those anti-theft devices that the dealers add to the vehicles sitting on their lots.

yup...that's what it is, i have it on mine.

I can't stand when dealers cut wires and put their bullshit anti-theft devices in. I won't buy a vehicle that they put one of those in.

I agree 100%. When my limited arrived, I told the salesman not to install ANYTHING (except a window tint), including any extra alarm system. I wasn't able to get to the dealership for a day after it was in. He told me that he was afraid it would be stolen overnight, and wanted to install an alarm. I told him to park it inside, or park alot of vehicles around it outside, so no one could get to it.

On my last vehicle, I had the dealership remove the alarm that had already been installed. Needless to say that left a few splices in the wiring, and it was sloppy work at that, with electrical tape and all. I think most of them now use crimp-on type of splices, but still...

:iagree: and not only that, if it's a ProLock alarm that usually means holes left in the dash were the LED light was mounted. Fortunately, the two dealers where I got my Toyotas from don't molest the cars as they arrived on the lot. I refuse to pay for someone to do a half ass install in my car or leave traces of some crap installation if I don't opt for that option. I know of several dealers around me that does that and I will NOT buy a Toyota from them.
