-Harry Reid and the government are angry that Bundy is making a profit off of using federal resources, but without paying the federal government for it... sort of like Harry Reid and his shitstain of a son are trying to get filthy rich in building a solar plant on federal land. Why is it okay for elected officials to do it, but not private citizens?
-why is the BLM, which I assumed to be a bunch of old guys and surveyors piddling about in army surplus blazers, actually a bunch of militarized, jack boot and Oakley wearing thugs with sniper rifles and attack dogs?
-why is it every time this happens some tacticool jackass has to show up with an "assault rifle" and point it at the Feds, making people with serious concerns about the overreach of government look like crazy militia types.
-was there any other way of dealing with this besides rounding up and slaughtering a bunch of cattle?
-it's always convenient to say "the courts are right" when the courts are stacked with your cronies and friends

I'm sure that liberal types like John Stewart and Steven Colbert, who have never worked a day in their lives and would probably die of exposure on the first hour of a cattle drive, mock people like Bundy and his rancher ilk... but there is an actual threat of a government who will go to extraordinary measures to make sure that the only people who profit off our resources are those in office.

Why is it, our government goes after hard working, red, white, and blue bleeding Americans when a law is broken and yet allow illegal immigrants to break laws and get away with it?

Bundy was on Glen Beck this past week, very humble God Fearing American!
He says his stance wasn't over grazing rights but more over the extension of government. He is fed up with the over reach of this current administration policing citizens, when in actuality it's not there place to do so, it is the elected sheriff of the county to do so. He also stated that the majority of people that were there "so called defending his rights" were more of a nuisance and antagonizer to the Feds.

I'm fearful of how bad things must get before we put this great nation back on track, it makes me happy to hear a story such as Bundy's. We can't let the Government control our every step, that isn't FREEDOM. How can a man be proud of his life when being on government subsidies?

I have so many more questions and thoughts, but will save it for another day

An interesting observation I thought:

My understanding may be off....

i thought he had rights to graze the land from WAY back, no annual taxes needed.

Then the BLM is created and they are authorized to collect 'fees' from ranchers, for helping to 'manage land'.

Harry Reid's son is working a deal with the chinese to build a solar panel plant on that land. Harry Reid calls in a favor with his ex-senior advisor who is now a big shot at BLM. BLM starts using rancher fees to 'buy out' the ranchers and get them to leave. Bundy refuses. He doesn't pay his fees because he doesn't feel BLM is doing what was originally agreed to.

Reid tries this 'endangered desert tortoise' bullshit to get rid of Bundy, says his cattle are disturbing the tortoise. Words comes out that the tortoise are overrunning their preserve and getting sick, plans are in place to euthanize 1000 tortoise.

Reid bails on the tortoise ploy and says he hasn't paid his BLM fees. Sends in the feds to **** with him.

Nobody knows this until recently, that Reid is involved and his son stands to make big $$$ if they can get the ranchers off the land. As soon as the conservative media gets wind of it and starts printing it, the feds pull out.

Couple things here. The liberal media has been silent on this the entire time. Only the conservative media and people on the ground were talking about it.

With this much money at stake, they WILL have bundy out of there. It will just be sheer coincidence that a Chinese manufacturer will move in.

If you read a lot about this, you will read many comments from Nevada folks who hate Reid and try to get rid of him at every election. They talk about the casinos (big donors to Reid's campaigns) bringing in questionable people via bus to the polls with lists of who to vote for.

Reid and the casinos fight constantly against voter id.

That's all i've got to say about that.

Truth: In an interview on the Pete Santilli Show, Bundy explained his real position. He simply denies the right of the federal government to own land. He believes he’s entitled to do whatever he wants.
