Blue Sea 12v outlet install

I got this one because of blue seas reputation and I like the look. Doesnt look totally oem but still badass.

Be careful when drilling the dash. Its much more brittle than the center console. I took a big chunk out of it when using the drill press, luckily the front plate covered it.

You'll need to trim the dash support to fit the outlet. It's just as sturdy after being trimmed so fret not.

Installing the plate is pretty self explanatory.

Tada! We've got power. I didn't really take pics of the electrical, but I just ran the hot to the battery with an in-line fuse as well as negative to the battery ground. I wanted a constant on for charging my phone etc when the car is off.

Easy access mostly. Don't have to take my eyes off the road as much as the center console one. I think it looks sweet too. Cell phone mostly.

Which one hah? The one below the ac unit, the dc outlet one or the one in front of the compartment?

Looks like you ended up getting a huge crack in the silver part you drilled into, was that from the drilling or the screws from the mount?

Thats actually just a scratch from something else. Luckily. I'd be pissed if i cracked the dash..

interesting, I just picked up the smokers ashtray because it had the extra outlet, was just curious. I didn't think about the visability.
