Blue to Brown & Red to Black!!??

I dropped my fuel tank, removed the fuel pump but I have an aftermarket fuel pump from Delphi and it requires I cut my brown and blue wires to connect to red and black wires that came with the kit and Im not good with wiring Ive asked around no one knows which side either wires should be crimped so it would be great if some one could tell me

I would assume red is positive and black is negative, use a digital multimeter and probe your factory wires to see which is which. My 98 uses brown wires for all grounds.
