Body Lifts and Sliders

I just got my sliders built and should be putting them on in the next few weeks, but was if I should do a 1" body lift before getting them on. I plan on going to 285's next tire and will want a 1" body lift to help with clearance issues. Should I get the body lift now so the sliders are welded in relation to the body lift or weld the sliders w/out the body lift and just add later?

I'm kind of leaning towards a body lift later because then I can always take it off and not have fitment issues with sliders if they were set for a 1" body lift.

I would put the body lift on now and the weld the sliders higher. If your putting sliders on the forget the "i can always just do this and go back to stock" mentality. It will look better with them welded closer to the body and when you get 33's you wont ever want to take the body lift off.

Plus the sliders are just welded on. If you absolutely had to take the body lift out for some reason... then grind the welds off and take the sliders off.

Trust me, or else you will look at them every day and want them closer

I raised the body then welded on the Sliders. This way I gained the full benefit of the 1" BL. It looks much better than having a big gap between them IMO.

Absolutely do the body lift first then weld on the sliders. I suppose it depends on the slider layout, but I know with mine, it'd be impossible to access the seam weld to lift the body off the frame properly. In my case, the inside tube impedes access to the seam weld.

Thanks for the responses guys. Yeah I talked to BAMF who made my sliders and he suggested I get the body lift on first as well. I'll be putting that on in a week and hopefully the sliders in 2-3 weeks. Damn that body lift is going to make me want to get 33's a lot earlier than I was planning.
