Severely bent stock body mount fix?

So, I have a fairly bent body mount bolt that makes noise when the side it's on is unweighted. I can share the story on how this is the only damaged mount, but I'll spare it for now until there's interest.

It is located passenger side, in front of the rear wheel well. The meat of my question is this: How easy is it to replace and how do I access the top of the bolt?

I've already done a timing belt job myself, so nothing is really out of the question on what I can do on the Runner. I'm being a little lazy and haven't looked inside the cab yet to see what I may be able to access.

Holy, ive never seen that before. I am definitely interested in how. :snacker:

I installed my Body lift and its super easy. Just follow the bolts up and you will find the top bolt. Some have a rubber cap over the hole that just pops out.

If I remember correctly, to access that bolt, you fold the seat forward, pull back the carpet just a bit, and you'll see the black rubber cap there. You MAY need to pop off the trim piece as well. Can't remember exactly. Nonetheless, super easy.

Ah yes, that is the write up I followed when installing my BL and you can see the top of the bolt in the pictures.

Thanks for the help. I figured it wouldn't be too difficult.

So the story goes like this:

The wife and I were cruising a dirt road on front range of Colorado, shortly after moving here. I was driving most of the time, but felt like she could use some seat time with our new Runner. We were in an area with a few trees and boulders surrounding us, but needed to turn around to get back on the road. We had pulled off to let the dogs run for a bit. While getting ready to do a multi point turn around, she put it into 4lo. She then intended to put the transmission into D put actually put it into R. We were on a slight hill that dipped to our rear, so when the vehicle started moving backwards, she jumped on the gas, much like you would with a standard transmission, to catch the vehicle and get it going forwards. However, seeing as she was in reverse, the Runner lurched backwards hard, straight into a boulder about bumper high. The receiver took the full impact and now the right side of it is pushed in about 3 inches. The frame has ballooned at the mounting points on both the diver and passenger side. We had nasty whiplash for about 3 days after. The strange clunking has been occurring for months since the incident, but I just now discovered the body mount.

dude you might have more problems than just a bad body mound from the sound of it
