I think the 275/65R18 tires fit this well. Found this thread with a search as Im doing same ICON STAGE 1 with 275/65R18 stock wheels. No rubbing issues you have come across? I could be nuts but does it seem you have a slight rake with your front end dipping a tad lower than the rear?

LOL. Honestly, it rubbed a little with stock wheels. Some trimming or adjusting the ride height in the front should fix that no problem. And I did have a slight rake because I was waiting for my suspension to break in. Since then I have adjust my front ride height to level out.

My 2 cents is, I would go 285/65/18 if you are doing stage 1 icon. I went with 275/65/18 because I had a 2/1 cornfed spacer lift kit.

The icon is a really big upgrade over stock. You will definitely feel the difference.

No you will not need to get rid of your running boards or your mud flaps. The only part it might rub is your front inner fender liner. That is something you can trim with scissors or see if they will trim for you. If you do decide you level it out ( 3inches in the front, 2 inches in the rear) you might not even rub.

I almost bought my ICON stage 1 from Demello but I went with metal tech. Demello was cheaper but for me Metal tech had free shipping and spanner wrench included also a few states closer.

I gotta tell you Bonyfattony that my 4runner may take on some of your mods, Icons are in the mail, tires and wheels(FN 6 shooters) sitting in the garage and bumper well your single hoop shrockworks finalized my decision. I like the Demello with no hoop but I prefer the fullness and extra coverage of the SW, the single hoop really compliments the upper portion of the grill from front view.

After waiting for 5 Months... I finally received my front bumper from Shrockworks. I will say, the wait is dreadful and long but you definitely get what you pay. It surely is quality over quantity. This thing is built to last.

I opted for the single hoop bumper. I prefer the look. I feel like it is more aggressive.

This is how it comes when delivered by UPS. It is extremely well packed and mounted directly to the pallet so there is no sway.

The front bumper was removed. This took about 3 hours to do.

FN Wheels are the way to go! You guys have some good taste.

Dsr5drvr- I would have to agree. The single hoop flows with the truck better but the three hoop offers more protection. You will probably need the spanner wrench sooner or later to adjust your suspension. Its quite easy actually. its just a turn of the coilover.

Stock gears so far. I wish I could afford to swap the fronts right now as I just broke my rear ring and pinion and it will be replaced in the next few days. It's not really an issue as the V8 turns them without issue. Even when climbing hills offroad and such it has no lack of power. Mechanic couldn't believe how I broke them! He said he's never seen one so bad before. I told him it takes talent!

How has the kit been treating you? Just got myself a kit too. 380mm rotors... KILLER!

Wow 380 is huge! The kit is amazing and I have no regrets. It is actually my favorite mod on my truck as it fills in the wheels. I always thought it looked goofy to have small rotors when rocking some big tires.

It also takes controlling your vehicle to another level. Braking while towing and last second braking becomes a breeze.

The BBK is worth the money.

I'm already contemplating a 4 disk conversion for my Tacoma. I know someone has swapped rear ends or something. Need to look into it further. \

Thanks for the intel. Rotora has been great to deal with thus far. Now the wife on the other hand? Ouch, scolding of the century.

Since I am running the 20" SpyderLock Beadlocks Figured I would go as big as I could. No reason not to. Would have loved to be in a 16" or larger with the 12 piston setup. You know, just because.

More surface area the better.

Did you upgrade to DOT 4 fluid? Going to start that process next week. Just need to settle on a brand.

Wow those Spyderlock wheels are pretty beefy. I probably would gone with 380 if i had the surface area to fill. Those rockstars you have on your truck are the first set of wheels i wanted when i got my t4r.

Yea i upgraded to DOT 4 fluid as well. I went with Castrol just because it was highly reviewed. Motul is good but is too much maintenance and not the type of driving we do. Pentosin is pretty good too.

Doug Thorley Headers V8 4.7

Man i am so behind on updating this thread. I worked with the famous Doug Thorley and was able to get them to put in product a set of heads for us 4th Gen V8 runners. The finished product was amazing and i feel like my car can finally breath. The first set off of production was given to me. I have no complaints about their product.

SpiderTrax Black Spacers

Something so simple makes are the car look so much more aggressive. Prior to the install of the spacers, my car looked goofy with the tires pushed so inward. The space made the car more aggressive and actually help balance the car by lowering the center of gravity for body roll.

Monster Hook

The cost is $750. OEM is about double the price... I could have sworn Doug Thorley made a set of headers for the GX470. I don't know if this particular model will fit on it though.
