I hope you are enjoying the GX470. It is a sweet ride.

I guess I have been in the fog as far as pricing of 3rd gens go. Around DC, especially when Obama first got here, they were going for mad money. Now, not so much for 3rd and even 4th gens.

That was also six years ago. Some third gens could have still been covered under an extended warranty and they were still making the 4th gens brand new. It's amazing how fast time goes.

Awesome truck. I just bought my first 4runner, 2001 sr5 , pretty much stock, how did you like toytec ultimate lift kit and what components did you go with ? How was it on the street? My truck is a daily commuter, 90% of the driving i do is street and highway, the only off road i will be doing when i go dirt biking and take my truck on some light trails, i pretty much want a lift for the looks of it and my rear shocks are gone, i just picked up new OEM shocks for the rear i will be installing them this weekend. Do you recommend doing a lift for the driving that i do ? Will it be to hard for the street? Should i just stay with OEM suspension and buying some 1999 coils for 1" lift ?

When I build another one it will have the same lift put on it. It drove 10 times better than before. I went with 891's in the rear and upgraded to the boss rear shocks. It sat a little low in the rear but I couldn't lower the front to match if because the 255's were tall. I had planned on putting a 1" spacer on top of the 891's.

Ok, it really got me bummed today. I miss it already. I will build me another one and soon I hope. I was out at my shop today and it just felt empty.

Man, I saw this truck on craigslist yesterday and recognized it from the forum. It's crazy what clean 4Runners go for in this area. Congrats on the property. Hopefully we will see you back here sometime.

Also I'm only like 2 hours west of you. Were you gonna build the sliders yourself or have a shop build them? I've been wanting to get sliders, but the only off road shop in the area quoted me almost $500 to get a set of the BAMF ones welded on...

I was going to build them myself. I got mad skills, lol. I'm no expert welder but I built the ones I have on my tundra and was planning to do the same on the 4runner.
