Bosch quietcast rotors

Hello, all. New to this forum. Wife's car (2008 4Runner V6) is no longer under warranty, so I get to add it to my projects.

Here's my question: on the front brakes, the stock rotors are warped. I'm replacing with Bosch Quietcast. Bosch shows a larger rotor (50011245) for 17" wheels than for the 16" inch wheels (50011243). It makes sense to me that larger rotors go with larger wheels, except that the Bosch rotor for the 16" wheels matches up perfectly with the stock rotor I just pulled. Wheels on the wife's car are definitely 17".

What am I missing?

Nothing...I ran into the same issue with these...Apparently they are 16" rotors although the rim is 17"

Check your calipers. If they have 13WG cast into them, then you have the smaller rotors, if you have 13WH, then you have the larger rotors.

SR5s and some Limiteds came with the smaller rotors while Sports and the rest of the Limiteds got the larger ones.

If I remember how it worked from when I bought my 2006 new. Vehicles that came with 16s standard i.e. sr5s and some years of limiteds have the smaller brakes even if the larger wheels were added as an individual option on the sticker. Sports came standard with 17s and the bigger brakes. I think some of the Limiteds have 17s and bigger brakes when the 2 were packaged together. My sr5 has the smaller brakes and 17s.

06 Limited with the 18" tires

Hey Guys,

Jumping in. I have a 06 Limited with the 18" tires. Does that mean it's 17" rims? or 18"?

I also want to get the Bosch Quiet Cast rotors... but the ones I'm seeing on RockAuto.com mention the 16"

Avoid Bosch on JDM cars. PLENTY of other choices.

Jumping in. I have a 06 Limited with the 18" tires. Does that mean it's 17" rims? or 18"?

265 / 60 / 18 = Width of tire tread (in mm) / % of tire thread for side wall / rim size

You have 18" rims.

I'm not well versed on what set of rotors the Limited trim got. Keep searching the forum, do a visual check of your rotor/caliper for the size code, or hope that someone else chimes in.
