Both cigarette lighter in the front and back doesn't work

Does the same thing apply to a 1996 4runner? I'm having the same problem. Replaced the fuse and still don't work. Do I have to replace the cigarette adapter?

Pull the old one and check for power in the wires leading into it. If there's power and it doesn't work, then probably a good idea to replace. If there's no power, then something else is wrong.

Did you already check the fuses?

Resurrected (again)

The cig fuse is not mated to the power ports. On the 2007 there is a power prt fuse 15 AMP. Replaced and fixed.

Went through three fuses...

Hi there,

My 2 week old, 2018 4Runner has the same issue of blown 15A fuse in the "P/Outlet" fuse location.

I am only running one cell phone plug in the center console location; nothing else. No other electrical work (read add ons). Every time I replace the 15A fuse, it blows when I start up the truck. I replaced the fuse three times, and it blew each time.

Any thoughts?

I'm also trying to figure out what is wrong with my power outlets (front and rear 1998). The fuses are good and I wanted to check the power outlet relay -- located in the under hood fuse box.

Now the question -- how in the heck do you pull the relay out? I've really tugged on the relay with no luck, am I missing a release tab or something? Could it have arced the contacts and be stuck in the socket, what am I missing?
