Bought my first car yesterday!

Yesterday me and my dad got a '95 4Runner 4x4 6cyl. for $2900. It's got 134k original miles and the engine is in great condition. Nearly new Blizzak tires, great interior for being 18yo. The only thing is the previous owner got rear-ended in a parking lot, and the replacement tailgate was a salvage, so its not exactly fitted flush, and the paint is a little different from the original. I've got it in the shop now getting the tailgate refitted, and repainted, and a dent in the rear bumper straightened out. I won't have my license for another 2ish months, so I figured I'm going to completely personalize this thing in my free time until then.

I hope future SAS and 3.4 swap!! Welcome to the forum. The 2nd gen guys here are real cool and great resources of info.

Thanks for the welcome! :biggrin1: My dad is convinced that I will get a new car when I graduate, but if she's still running and I have anything to say about it, I'll keep her. I don't want to put a load of work into her if I'm just going to turn around and sell her. His exact words: "You may be driving it, but I still own it." So unless I buy it from him and snag the title, he will end up selling her... but yes, a 3.4 swap would be fantastic, because that would allow for TRD supercharger!

Also, I noticed in your signature.... 400k miles?! Is that original miles?

Ah I gotcha. Yeah if you fell in love with it and want to keep it, you might as well build it. I know with mine I could get more money parting it out than selling it so I'm gonna keep building it lol. But in your case, find the car you REALLY want and go from there.

Yeah I love the 4Runner and will gladly keep it if it's still in good condition. It's mostly just up to my dad, and also whether I can convince him that I want to keep it.
