Bought myself a 5th gen, plus some questions!

Well, i was driving home to Texas this year for christmas from San Diego and my BMW rolled over 100k miles, God bless its soul all the engine lights and warning started coming on and flashing right outside of San Antonio... being a 4runner owner, I said eff it and went to the dealership when i made my way to Katy, Texas, low and behold my good friend was working there now and showed me around the lot and I layed eyes on my now 2011 SR5. long story short i drove back to San Diego with a new 4runner. blizzard pearl, KDSS, ATRAC bells and whistles, i got this thing for a steal. Anways, my only question i really have is; where, when i get to buying a front bumper, can i find the trim pieces that go under the headlights? i know that Shrockworks includes them with their bumper, but i was wondering if i was able to just buy the trim. thanks in advance, and im glad to stay in the 4runner family!

You should be able to buy the trim pieces separately from any bumper manufacturer. If you have a SR5 you don't have KDSS. Welcome to the forum!

Congrats, I saw somewhere on Demello's offroad that they have info as where to get the pieces. I ended up going with a schrockworks bumper, 3-4mo wait time.

Congrats! Are you sure it's an SR5? I thought KDSS was an option on the Trail versions only.

There is no trim under the headlights. Just the entire bumper cover. A few of the aftermarket bumpers require you to trim the stock cover to fill that gap, but most are now including inserts of some sort (like shockworks).

And like other said. KDSS is only an option on the trail editions. ATRAC is on all models (even 2wd). All trails also have a rear e-locker.

Hmm I wonder, there was a fuse in the spot on the KDSS block where the fuses are, wonder if it may be for something else?

5th Gen SR5's have never been offered with KDSS suspension. Never.

Hmm. Then that's my fault, not the dealerships. Like I said, it was a really good friend of mine that got it lowered so much in price for me haha
