Bought, not Built ;p 2000 'Runner

Well, I went the easy way. Oldsven was selling his 'runner to upgrade to something newer and I jumped on it. If you want to see his build thread, it's here: OldSven's 4Runner - Expedition Portal

So far I've pretty much just been driving the thing, using it for adventures and what-not. So far I've added:

-LED fogs with amber covers
-Yakima Rooftop Box
-Yakima hitch mounted bike carrier
-Double Din head unit
-FN wheels

Planned upgrades:

-Some sort of rear storage drawer/sleeping platform system
-Roof basket ( WMW or the like, want full length)
-Lightforce 240 driving lights
-Communications/Navigation
-Recovery Gear

Now the fun part, pics!

Sold this:

Nothing wrong with buying vs. building, it just means you have good taste.

Nice looking rig. Nice looking Audi too. What Audi is that? I'm not familiar with the Audi line...

i was looking into getting one of those for a family car... that is untill i found out about the TC job, F that idea... you can pic those cars up for cheap, but damn youll spend a pretty peny to just get the parts, and then IF you want to tackle the job yourself its at least a two day job... i ended up looking at MS6s, and am waiting till the right one comes along. the S4s are nice cars and fun, but yeah they can swallow a bank account if your not prepared careful. -the runner can be the same way, but at least it wont be a mandated issue, it will just be an addiction, but it looks like yours is mostly done

Looks like a good purchase! I think I remember you from Audizine. Before my 4runner I had a b6 a4 1.8t and before that I had a pearl white b5 a4 avant on air.

All that stuff you listed is why I sold it. Was spending money hand over fist to keep it running. And that's not including the timing chains. It was a fun car though.
Wrek, yup, I was on the 'Zine too. Still know anyone with a b5 or b6? I've got a set of s4 calipers and rotors for sale...

I do know a few people with b5's and b6's, so I will ask around and see if anyone wants them.

B6 s4 factory brakes? Are the rotors new or used?

Yup, b6 factory brakes. Rotors are used but have a ton of life left in them. If anyone wants pictures, let me know. I've got 4runner parts to buy, Thanks!!!

Great taste in automobilia!
Audi's are certainly a love/hate breed...over the past 9 years I've had a rash of C5's - still have an S6, A6 biturbo + the 4runner.
Anyone who asks, I don't recommend them unless you are the DIY type for sure...small trade off, awesome cars otherwise.
